Blizzard needs to reintroduce AP to save wow

There’s no way for them to do that.

We still need to do world content to get stuff to do m+ or raid.

That’s not what I’m arguing at all.

I’m saying there is no need to do anything higher than a +20 key.
So if there’s issues beyond that level, it really shouldn’t matter. You don’t need to do it.

That’s what I’m saying.

(and to be clear: that’s just going off on the same type of argument I get against me whenever I bring up gear in world content: you don’t need it.)

And there is a point to that. Raids, m+, PvP, you can see your power gain, either with parses, dmg metters, doing higher level keys, killing the boss faster(so you can skip some mechanics) and etc. You can actually see your power gain.
World content…not so much. If you already could oneshot that boar with questing gear, then more gear or power wont … “one-shot it” quicker. Doesnt matter if you hit for 1k or 10k or 100k, if the boar’s HP was 100 to begin with then its still a oneshot regardless.

There is also an issue for +20’s. You can not take anyone who applies. Also for +15’s. Someone in 380 world quest ilvl gear is not going to finish the +10 either (except very carried).

Not true, because…

Which you can’t.

It really does matter.
Because world content is not ‘just boars’.

Anyway… You’re ignoring my point.
You don’t need 20+ key levels. So there’s no issue.
Right?

Sure. Same as you don’t need to play WoW at all. Its just a video game, luxury in the end.

Edit:

oh sry. You can’t do some puzzle unless you got equipped a mythic trinket from a boss right? And lets not forget that flower wont get picked unless you use Sark’s daggers on mythic level.

Not ‘anyone’ sure, that’s logical. You need a minimum gear level.
But that’s pretty much it. Everything else RaiderIO nonsense and all that jazz; it’s all just fuel to brainwash people even more; to keep them docile. You really don’t need any of that to have a succesful run.

I think the question is: do you need the gear that you want?

And I think plenty of people engage in content with a difficulty level where they would be fine with a lower ilvl, and yet they want a higher one. Now why is that?

Sense of progression
Making content easier
Nice numbers that make you go wheee
Etc

So it’s a bit of a silly question imho, because world content players are not the only ones looking for this progression, whether it is required for the difficulty level of play or not.

I don’t care a great deal about gear myself, but to me this reasoning is odd when it only seems to apply to world players. Just conclude a lot of players enjoy this feeling and it motivates them to play the game. That’s all there is to it really.

Same for you then. So having AP is no problem then.
Because you don’t NEED to play.

Cool! We agree!

PS: You just helped me prove how stupid the ‘you don’t need it’ argument is. Thank you. So I never want to hear that inane argument ever again.

so … tiny insignificant meaningless minority of minority of all players ?

yeah nothign surpising then

thats wow problem for years now that those people are only ones who are catered to.

Sure. But you also don’t “NEED” your AP power and etc.
So learn to live without it. Simple, no?

Edit:

Ah yes. “I speak for the majority and you are the minority” argument.
And who elected or nominated you to speak for everyone?

The funny thing is, Blizzard keeps throwing elites at world content. Trust me, some gear helps when you’re soloing a rare in ZC because there’s not a soul there

Learn to live WITH it. Simple, no?

We can turn this around all day long. It’s quite useless.

^ this.

Like I said: World content is not just boars. Not in the slightest.

Don’t go off track now.
Why should I learn to live with it if I can easily just do without.
The argument was “You dont NEED it”. So stick to it.

You’re getting aggressive, so I’ll stop. I made my point.
The ‘you don’t need it’ argument is stupid.

I already explained several posts ago how I want an AP system that doesn’t impact ‘big 3’ content. That should be enough, yes?

9-10% of the playerbase has ALL +20’s timed.

That would be MoP

it was a single expansion that bleeded populations hard

But Cataclysm just a bit, which had 11 Million subscribers, even to August 2012

But During MoP it lost from 10M to 6,8 M subscribers From the first 10 months

I actually think they’re pretty close with the current system with crests and flightstones. What they could do is keep WQ’s as they always are, entry level gear, but add questlines and/or specific challenges in the world that require a bit more ilvl and that reward higher level crest fragments. Make it slow, make it a grind, all fine.

Raiders and M+ players will still have a far more efficient and faster route through their own content. Esp with crests being capped, that small amount from world content would be completely uninteresting to them.

Preachgaming legend.

Begged for this kinda expansion for years then immediately quit weeks into DF (then tries to claim that him quitting just shows how WELL DESIGNED DF is roflmao).

Asmongold also quit, he says (correctly) that WoW is too hard and bloated, however looking at all the games he plays, at the end of the day the guy just wants power grind games like WoW was during Legion and BFA. This can be seen by how much he plays D4 or terrible RPGs with power grind aspects. Sadly he is never going to admit this.

Taliesin talks about how this is the GOAT expansion, hardly plays, admits not to have done content he SHOULD love (because it has no power attached to it)

Sloot? Just quit the game.

Max? Talks about how the game is the best it has ever been, barely plays.

This game is now some kind of pseudo competitive game for dads who are too bad to play Dota or Counterstrike but still wanna feel special, so they have WoW where they can be lords of the mount farmers.
