Blizzard not protecting their players from harassment

Yea I was just thinking that actual gm appeared ingame and it were clearly not automated on those interactions, this could be good if they would be willing to move for less automated solutions and more paid tasks for such. Idk anything that has more humane approach and makes mmo feel safer for people as place where they can talk without get deal with some automated system would be good imo. :dracthyr_shrug:

Just a few years ago it was a lot easier to access the ā€œLive Chatā€ option on the support website as well, now itā€™s hidden behind layers and layers of clicks, and even if you find the button eventually then itā€™s closed 99% of the time.

Edit: Today I met up with a friend I havenā€™t RPā€™d with for about a week, and they said ā€œI have a troll after me now since I rpd with youā€ And then went on to tell me that the troll/stalker was even following her over on alliance, while I rp on horde.

Twitter removes such posts quicker then they do on eu forums

Nah we are protected just fine. Next.

Do blizzard also need to hold your hand when u go out? Or do they need hire a bodyguard for your protection?

We are clearly not.

Donā€™t write things like this when you clearly havenā€™t experienced the same thing as I am doing on a daily basis.

On another hand, the response I got to my ticket which included numerous screenshots of the harassment had this in it.

ā€œSince this was a core function of Vanilla, weā€™ve been specifically asked by the developers not to intervene to keep things similar to how they used to work.ā€

I am not sure what that really means, but feels like they picked the wrong automated response.

these are the types that would close their eyes and do real-life stuff.

It is quite badass tbh, but not everyone can move away from the screen when they are emotionally invested in its contents and criticism.

Iā€™ve had the same problem for 2-3 years with a player who keeps attacking me on the forum, even though Iā€™ve reported him several times via ticket.

He seems to work for Blizzard himself or knows some other trick that allows him to identify all my characters or my account.

Because even if I post with toons that have never been played or posted, heā€™s right that itā€™s me.

I once read an article that there are also Blizzard employees who are anonymous on the forum and insult players.

that would be a third-party site like Check Pvp

omg. is there a way to hide your characters / account somehow for every third party ?

Iā€™m not sure tbh, logged on to check myself and I could only see a setting ā€œonly display character achievements to othersā€

I went to check you out and you are on the site with other toons. hopefully someone like Puny might know these things better.

Iā€™m just a forum clown. i was even amazed how all my toons are on my profile on that site.

Thats automated response, you have to make ticket till you happen to get someone look it or happens whisp you in game which im not sure if still happens. I havent made many tickets but also seen ready script type replys that didnt match the subject, just have to make another. Like some said blizz is not the enemy or doing nothing wrong its the ppl that are harassing you, good luck i wish you get to enjoy your game at some point as you like

You should be able to, either via the site itself or you can change your privacy settings on your wow account. Just bear in mind if you go the wow account route sites like raider io often wont work. Or any other third party site you rely on.

There is a way to hide it, first, link check-pvp to your battle.net account, and put all your characters to hidden. After you have done that, go into the settings for your account on battle net website and then set it to not share any date to 3rd parties. This way all your characters will be hidden, and then the only way people can find out itā€™s you, is to pull up two characters on the armory and compare achievements points or pets.

It was precisely because of this person that I set it years ago so that only my character achievements could be seen and not my account achievements. Unfortunately, that doesnā€™t help.

Iā€™ve never played PvP with the character or anything at all and only use it as a bank character. But it was still on the site. The only site my account is connected to is Wowhead. I think itā€™s really bad that Blizzard doesnā€™t protect customer data.

I havenā€™t felt comfortable with WoW for years just because of this one person and would stop playing it because of him. He also keeps posting information about me because I played a different game about 8 years ago and he recognized me by my unique player name.

Can MVP players actually see the data of other players? For example, which characters they post with in the forum? Do MVPs have more rights than normal players?

I apologize for the circumstances, as this thread should not be about me

No, they cannot see anything more than you or I can and they donā€™t get any additional rights either.

they have the rights to be green

Its not like they have the right to change that unless they decide to no longer be seen as an MVP, its placed on their character by Blizzard.

also, I may be wrong in this but I think they also have a secret section, kinda like discord mods where the members donĀ“t see the secret threads for mods.

ive also had my encounters with that, hope youre not harassed any otherway. I still suggest ticket, i can confirm its worthy on that case what i see now.
