Why does it feel like its gonna take litterally 8 hours to do a 162.28 MB update ? with almost a gbit speed internet and a nvme that is litterally able to pump out 7000 MB read and write speed ?

I may be starting the obvious - but a few of my guidies have been caught out by this so I’m gunna ask anyway.
Have you checked that the download settings in Bnet don’t have the limit download speed option set to a very low value?

Yes. no-one here knows you, and statistically it’s a safe bet that people make simple mistakes. Just like its a safe bet that someone posting on a forum struggles with civility.

I think I should be thankful to blizzard for giving me all these nostalgic pre 2000 internet vibes. With these initializing/download speeds it feels like using a dial-up modem once again.

I also have the problem. Insane slow download…
have set the download limits to 999999999 KB/s that seems to work back in the day, now it doesn’t

No issues here. patching was done in <10 seconds.
Been trying to update for 2 hours straight now, tried restarting the install, the app, the computer, tried cabled and wifi connections, tried my 1gbit/s fiberconnection and 5G mobile broadband, same problem everywhere regardless of what i try.
1.5 hours now on initializing…Almost got to 162.28, but then it stopped. Now it says 232.88/295.96MB but its just spinning and not progressing at all.
Same here. Initializing doing for 2 hours and still not finished.
Our entire guild are in the same position. Initialising is taking an incredibly long time today. I don’t what they’ve done with the latest patch (M/M+ changes I assume) but it’s properly messed up the updater.

Maybe they would kindly do something about it?
