These consume prices are absolutely insane on Spineshatter pvp atm 20g for a mongoose 22g for fire protection pot 20g per sharpening stone?
Flasks are 300+
I get it they are not needed to clear the current content but they make it alot more fun.
Surely there is an easy way to solve this by adding herb sacks/crafting mats to raid bosses so guilds can make their own pots etc because open world farming is near enough impossible with the bots and nothing is done to solve that.
What they need to do is create more layers in the off-peak hours. Having 3 layers during the day is not enough to sustain the current amount of players on these megaservers.
They can’t do it without banning many innocent people. They tried to do it on sod p2 - many people got 14 day bans just for selling expencive BoE items, most likely because buyer of this item payed with bought/botted gold. But how can i know, from where he got gold? Just don’t sell any expencive items to people u dont personally know? What if i am pug player, sell any expencive BoEs to vendor?
Unfortunatelly, blizzard AI system they used for those bans is not perfect. To ban gold buyers effectively, and dont ban innocent players as it was when they tested this ban system in sod p2, blizzard need real GMs to deeply analize every transaction, but with current situation of “effective management” they can’t afford enogh GMs for this.
Talking about bots, situation is a bit easier. Most of bots on 60lvl in classic farm raw gold in dungeons, and using flyhack. To detect flyhack - you don’t need any AI algorithms, you just need to make simple script. You don’t even need to do bans (to not accidently ban innocent person if he somehow got inside the walls) - just disconnect and teleport to hearthstone location once bot start his flyhacking script. It will effectively break all dungeon bots gold farming scripts, and will reduce amount of raw gold bots inject to economy, lowering resources prices. Without any risks of banning innocent players
Any large gold trade would get flagged yes. Your friend decides to play so you give him 300g to start him off. You both get banned? It requires actual investigation of looking at chat logs, friends lists, guild roster, etc… There was people who got banned for death rolling which i don’t think blizzard likes but when you trade 1000 g to someone it’s pretty obvious it looks like gold selling. There is also no way of a gold seller and a buyer making a gold sale look like a death roll.
Hey level 1 lets death roll 4000g
I win thanks!
If they ban bots prices will go to 150 gold, because they are contributing a huge pat of the herbs and stones on the Market. Supply and Demand economy.
The answer is start farming and if the nodes are too little, Blizzard should increase spawn rate of the nodes.
Never understood this “Prices on consumables are too high” bs. If they are high, get your mining pick and herbing gloves and starting making thousands of gold. No one is stopping you from farming.
Now… If you want to just raidlog and get pots of the AH, than they will cost. A lot. Because someone (or something) else spent time doing your work.
No, most of level 60 bots are mages farming raw gold in LBRS. I am talking at first about those bots, they just injecting lots of gold to economy, and so increaseing prices.
We need herb boxes or something there is not enough materials to go around to cover demand, layers and a mega server have made this problem. This was blizzards idea they need to fix it so we get more materials in the market
If we look at history of wow when have it worked?
In my experience SoD has been the best and its becous there is no way you can monopolice anything there. you can farm dungeons to get money and coins to bye crates that contains expencive materials. They also took black lotus spawn away and you instead got a chanse to get one when picking high end herbs. The drawback is that the mining, herbing and skining is not as good money makers any more.
This is exactly the Problem imo, 3 Layers are farmable and that has to support 8 Layers of Raiders. Just keep 8 Layers open and i think prices will go down
Lack of servers with their separate AH and economy and trying to fix that with layers (which are also lacking in numbers) is the main problem, more then boting.
Maybe Blizzard really want from players to use their real money, stage is set for it, thats for sure…Do people really believe Microsoft will allow that such huge amounts of money goes in someone else hands and that in some way they are not connected to bots and gold sellers? Follow the money is the name of the game…
