I have to say Wod was still fine in terms of class (At least, the ones I played, I know for sure that warrior was quite awful until HFC) but was the line that should not have been crossed. And we got Legion which is imo the TRUE pruning. At first, it was stupid fun because gameplay was fast paced and borrowed power made sense.
After BFA however, we’re starting to see borrowed powers’ blunders and issues.
I’m pretty sure covenants are going to be a Blizzard fail and that by 10.0 they would never do any borrowed power system again.
Tier sets are fine IF they are built in order to slightly change rotation (4P T16) , not to FIX it (2P T13) or not to make the spec Uber broken (2p T18). Those examples are for ret paladin and I’m pretty sure those cases existed with other specs.
I would also say that sets should be dispersed across more gear slots instead of traditional healm, legs, chest, shoulders and hands and should only bring little changes instead of being as impactful as a rework.
If tier sets are not fine, then trinkets are neither.
i see so many people, both in forums and youtubers worried with the state of SL atm cause of systems and the lack of communication from blizz. even a lack of communication would be ok, if they were seen to be listening to our feedback and just implementing it without getting back to us, rather than just plain ignoring us and not talking. though tbh, even when they talk to us, its almost like its just platitudes to shut us up rather than an actual back and forth with the people keeping them employed.
so, if SL really is as bad as some fear, or at least its systems are all broken such that it is as bad as BfA or even worse, will people put up with another 2 years of a poor game?
Honestly it’s mainly only covenant abilities and conduits that people talk about.
The positive stuff, the rest, is being neglected because of that. It’s a shame.
Because most of the coverage IS generally positive. There’s a lot more to SL than just those 2 things.
Ohhh yes. I definitely think Blizzard made a mistake when they decided that classes should have 1 armor type (instead of progressing into a higher one), that they picked mail instead of leather for hunters.
I get it from an ‘armor balance’ view, but honestly; I think it would be better if mail armor type was straight up removed and our exisiting stuff was changed to leather.
I agree, mail just doesn’t feel or look right when you have a companion or two by your side… it doesn’t scream master of beasts/survival.
A Hunter would be hunting & skinning - living off the land, then wearing some of it for protection - not popping down the smithy for some awful mail set
true most likely, but honestly, the art and music teams have always nailed it. its the mechanics, systems and grinds that let each expansion down
but at the end of the day, if the classes are not fun to play, or have too many problems, then it doesn’t matter how good the rest of the game is, we wont enjoy it. its like the maw. people are saying its basically empty, and all it seems to be is an endless Stygian grind just to keep us occupied again
time to make all armour types available to all characters? im sure that somewhere there is some nice leather for hunters to use
I personally think that The Maw is just not done. It’s just ‘placeholder’ activities until we’re going to get a 9.1 campaign in there, or something like that (maybe a Suramar type thing).
I just really don’t like the basic idea of the Maw. But then again; that’s the whole idea I guess… It’s not a place we WANT to be as characters either.
