Title. These past few days the game has been unplayable. Black screens. Disconnects etc. We are paying for something that isn’t working. Until it is back in working order we should be compensated for game time lost…
Ah, knew there would eventually be one of these threads.
I suspect there is nowhere in the T&C that states a guaranteed minimum uptime for the game. There will be no mechanism to make a claim for compensation.
Also, this game is like 40 pence per day and it’s been down for 2 days. I can survive without the 80p.
I would be satisfied with a capybara mount
Yea sure, it’s basically nothing if you break it down to a day per day fee… but you can’t sub on a day to day basis so it’s still a minimum fee of 13€ payed.
Don’t see what all the crying is about.
Millions of players world wide cramming.
Two days of not being able to play. What’s the damn issue?
You paid? Yeah for a full month. Let Blizz know when the game is unplayable for that length of time.
I’d understand if this was a monthly occurrence but it really isn’t.
How dare people paying for a monthly subscription ask for game time when they cant play ? Oh my oh my ! How ungrateful
Which is fine, because going by previous experience, it’ll be better in a couple of days and you’ll get 26-28 days of that billing cycle.
If Blizz do offer compensation, they’ll just add 2-3 days of gametime onto our accounts rather than refund £1.20.
But since many people are logging in now, I doubt they will consider this a day of outage.
The fact that you pay to be able to play.
Would you pay for an internet service if it randomly disconnected you for two days without any communication?
That being said, would you pay for any service if it randomly decided to stop it’s service for two days? I’m guessing that would be a no.
Exactly what should happen , I dont need a refund.
Again. It’s been two days. Have your pennies back.
Or should I just copy pasta the terms everyone agreed to.
Mine literally does this. Two random days of the year, it simply won’t work. I won’t have any notice or warning, it just dies and doesn’t come back.
But it remains the best overall internet option where I live, so yes, I do keep paying for it.
I don’t see why they would not do something to apologize to their paying customers for the inconvenience.
I pay subs every month for 2 different accounts and this affects me. My mobile carrier for example had an outrage for a few days and they reduced that month’s bill to say sorry.
I don’t think it’s rude to ask for some sort of reimbursement (giving us a few extra days at least) for the inability to use their paid service…
I really dont care about the terms , I dont need my pennies back either , but I do want 2 days of game time for the time lost , also for every day that will follow which might have issues. A day of free gametime when the game is unplayable isnt too much to ask for
You pay for internet service? Right then it can happen. Has happened. Will happen again. So very moot point there.
Any service you pay for monthly can be impacted. It’s part and parcel.
Lord have mercy on these poor misunderstanding souls.
But alas it’s life I don’t act like a self entitled child and cry about it. I fully accept that sh!t happens in life.
This.
Explains perfectly why the human race is flushing royally down the toilet.
‘I don’t care about something I couldn’t be bothered to read, therefore…sort it.’
Hahaha. Priceless bulletproof logic there. You have to be a damn millennial.
Even if somebody writes in a contract that they can beat you over the head every day, it’s still illegal. Taking payment for a service and not providing said service is a breach of contract.
Now, is it as serious as some people make it out to be? No. But “the Terms of Conditions state that they can take payment and don’t provide” means nothing.
This happened most of the time when a prepatch and expansion launched and most likely will happen going forward. Some people just need their weekly drama and not being able to play a video game for a few hours is a great opportunity for them to act like this is the first time this happened and therefore Shadowlands will be bad and of course to bash Blizzard for taking away they less than 1$ amount of gametime.
Thank you for the name calling , I’m not going to go down that route however.
And as I said above , I’m not asking for a refund but days of game time for the days the game has been unplayable.
I gather that it’s not the amount, it’s the principle.
Personally I’m not at the point where I really expect for there to be any sort of compensation, nor do I feel so inconvenienced that I would try to demand one. I can’t fault others for not having my kind of patience however. For all I know, some people have very limited time to sit down and play games - at which point a black screen is just dreadful.
Only if they are breaching a minimum guaranteed uptime, and that’s probably calculated yearly. I doubt WoW is in any legal trouble unless they have upwards of 5% downtime in 365 days.
