Blizzard thread replies

Why do Blizzard seemingly only reply to irrelevant threads such as ‘Best Mount’ or ‘Conspiracy theories’ or appreciation threads. Why do they not reply to important threads that bring to light game breaking behaviour? I scrolled down the forum posts and the only Blizzard replies I found where those on trivial posts.

I made a post about this multiboxer breaking battlegrounds and the game in general wherever he is around, with the horrendous latency he is causing, and while it got decent attention from other fellow players, it did not get any attention from Blizzard.

I thought the point of the forums was to forward issues players are facing to Blizzard, or am I wrong?

I think that on the more serious issues, Blues might not want to - or are refrained from - making any definite comments, or in general any explanatory insight that may either reveal too much or could be twisted in some way.

because these are not developers. they are pr mascots like this https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=SaXvaa1c&id=F24D030B855BDCF2EA150452F607C0B6AE7515C3&thid=OIP.SaXvaa1cfvOSKIGwDjQLPwHaEK&mediaurl=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ytimg.com%2Fvi%2F4sRM-f3BGr4%2Fmaxresdefault.jpg&exph=720&expw=1280&q=stupid+pr+mascots+usa+football&simid=608016349594059460&ck=65BAC9945F25C7DD37BD75C19246E7E1&selectedindex=0&form=EX0023&adlt=demote&shtp=GetUrl&shid=de32422c-8901-471d-946e-45318a0d23b5&shtk=TWFzY290IEZvb3RiYWxsIDIwMDMgdnMgUEFUcyAwMSAtIFlvdVR1YmU%3D&shdk=Rm91bmQgb24gQmluZyBmcm9tIHd3dy55b3V0dWJlLmNvbQ%3D%3D&shhk=ce3BQYfdZmVOWQLPhzFOu19EV3EwQFRbyYHCFBzCaOs%3D&shth=OSH.C5beEWVrmt8eRlxs7F8tjw

There are more genuine replies on the US forums from employees who are better informed on what they can and can’t say I guess or are rather more free to say what they think than the EU staff

Right, so the forums then is nothing more than a social guild where Blizzard cheers us on for making wholesome conversation?

Do I have to go on social media then and hope that a post gets super popular to get addressed or to be a popular content creator?

This is one reason people’ve asked for Blizzard to merge the EU forum with the US forum but I wouldn’t get my hopes up for that to ever happen

For the same reason you don’t talk politics in the work place.
There is no right answer. It only causes trouble.

Threads such as “Your favorite mount” is purely personal opinion, nobody can twist your words or get angry at you.
But threads about multi-boxing is tricky.

What options do they have?
Go against the company and say f multiboxers? They would be fired.
Randomly point out that multiboxing is allowed? People would get mad.
Say they’re working on it? People would say it’s not enough, Blizzard could get mad at them too.

I see it more as a place to talk with fellow players, i don’t care about the Blues. I assume they don’t see my posts.

I’m not asking them to voice their opinions on anything, but a simple “We will look into this.” would be enough to atleast acknowledge the problem that it is causing.

Read the in-game code of conduct, Cheating and Behaviour section, and tell me that it is not being violated by this multiboxer.

I always get the feeling the forums are a place for us to provide feedback upwards but not for them to comment on things because those decisions are made by developers, etc. rather than forum moderators. That’s not to say the forums are useless but it’s very much a one-way funnel for some improvements to be implemented.

I covered that exact scenario.
Players are not satisfied with a “We will look into this”. Multiboxing isn’t something Blizzard can look in to, they already know about it.
Nor is it a blue’s place to say such a statement. They aren’t calling the shots behind the scenes.

I have read the CoC, multi-boxing is not against it.
Do I think it should be? yes. But it isn’t.

Cuz all “blues” are clueless about the game.

“Using third-party programs to automate any facet of the game, exploiting bugs, or engaging in any activity that grants an unfair advantage is considered cheating.”

Is this not what multiboxers do?

Because people take out of context what they say and or attack them in more serious threads.

Whatever they say about the game itself can be related back to the company they are representing. All actual official replies are probably checked by other departments and need to be coordinated with the rest of the community managers.

Even a small statement like “we are working on this” or “we are aware of it” means that they officially acknowledge the issue. And even that kind of information can lead to false expectations and assumptions. They say what they’re allowed to say, and that’s it.

As for multiboxing, Blizzard already provided several statements on this matter in the past. As long as they still control all their characters themselves, they’re not crossing the line as far as they’re concerned.

Not being sarcastic here but yeah, they do sometimes reply on twitter.

If Blues started saying this, people would still complain because of the diplomatic, empty wording.

I would say yes.
It isn’t automated or a bug, but I would say it is an unfair advantage.

But Blizzard say otherwise.

I’m not defending Mutliboxing, I hate it. I’m just pointing out that it is not against Blizzards CoC according to Blizzard.

Well maybe then they should actually look into this issue, how is one person causing massive latency issues for everyone else not something to be looked into?

Dreanor had lag issues lately, sure it was the boxer?
thats if you mainly play on dreanor.

but ive heard alot of the servers are lagging

Because they don’t have the information players are looking for , They clearly stated : " that they will pass on if it’s relevant information " .

Most post are utterly rubbish players complaining moaning crying or whatever , attention seeking trolling baiting .

I’m 100 % sure they got their hands tied because of bureaucracy and company politics .
