Blizzard you need to get cracking on the PVP botting situation

Since the release of battleground, the number of players that I have spotted botting is getting out of hand. Every BG you can easily spot 2-3 of them without even seeking them out.

Now Blizzard I understand you like to perform your big flex ban waves to strike “fear” into the community for botting to show that you are actually doing something. But that will not cut it in classic, by you delaying these bans towards these players you are effecting the whole server. For those players that are seeking to push ranks, play casually, or even just meet their cap on the decay its been a hellish experience.

This is due to the fact that every week these players are running around botting, results in every week players being one standing lower (in this example having just one bot per server) which could actually result in dropping from the next pvp bracket, or being kicked from the top of a bracket. This is not fair to players spending 12+ (or players not farming that many hours for that matter) hours daily grinding to get their honor to only be on par or even below botters running around in AV 24/7 on the weekly honor gained.

Fix your game, stop flexing to show you are banning players by doing so in waves and act swiftly!

And for those that actually are going to bring up about reporting them and having proof. I do have proof, and I have reported them. Hell, I have kicked two members out of my guild for botting alongside screenshots confessing they are botting, and video clips of them doing so.

I have sent the evidence over to hacks@blizzard.com 3 weeks ago, and the whole server (and I truely do mean the whole server) have reported the two players I mentioned but they are still running around botting.

Blizzard sort your game out, and hand out punishments to cheaters on time DONT DELAY IT just to show off that you are actually doing what you should be doing in the first place. THIS IS CLASSIC NOT RETAIL!

Praise!! Blizzard please do something about this! It’s annoying the hardcore pvp base a lot on classic servers.

Actually its a real thing. You cant say you dont meet bots in every single AV game, even can see ppl after weeks still botting.

Its not about that Im lazy to grind my rank but actually its quite insane that even on such low rank as I am (rank 6) you have to grind at least 24h per week of AV queue and fight just to keep your old rank what means 4hours per day for practically nothing.

Indeed, people saying that you need to farm 12+ Hours a day to get High Warlord. Well this is not the case. Just because of these botters people are forced to farm 16-20 hours a day. Act quickly!

i haven’t logged in today. but im sure that when i do, and hit the honorspy the top bracket dudes will be sitting on 600k-700k honor farmed this week.
its pretty simple; in order to reach these numbers you literally cannot afford to sleep, which means you play 24/7 without pause, which means you are either account sharing or botting.
easy to spot. blizzard just lazy af.

World of warcraft has a serious botting issue, imagine the bots who are completely hidden in instances, imagine the bots who abuse the mc solopull to duofarm orbs in strat living. They remain completely hidden to the playerbase and apparently blizzard completely relies on the community to report bots to catch them. This is disastrous, on razorgore i have myself caught 7 hunter horde bots on tape in shimmering flats. 5 bots in azshara farming golden pearls and 3 dwarf hunter bots farming elemental earth in badlands, in the middle of the night. I killed their pets as much as i could until their pets ran away because of lack of food. These were sophisticated bots now imagine the more advanced ones doing jumpruns or orb farms in strat living.

I saw a video from kirtonos NA where 8 troll hunters were botting in the chimmering vale and they did so without disturbance, for weeks, they are still online today.

And then it hit me, if ban waves are this slow then the chance is high that many of the large venom sacs and elemental earth ive bought from the AH are most likely farmed by bots. The money they get dont get backtracked, it remains within the circulation and if you dont think this has a very negative impact on the economy then oh boy you are in for a treat.

Ask yourself, what are we paying 13 euro every month for? No customer support? Cheap servers? Exploiters and botters getting away?

I’m having a blast in classic. That’s what I pay for.

It’s sad to the lack of blues and action taken towards bots. Truely gives a bad taste in my mouth.

But what can we do If our reports are ignored? Will a ticket help? (Any experience about this?)

I’ve met a couple bots from time to time and they are gone after a few reports… so its all very strange tbh.

That is the worst part of them botting yes, they have a massive impact on the community forcing everyone to grind and farm more gold because prices will go up since those botters will have a lot more gold and it will have a big impact on everyone!
Also makes it impossible to compete with bots so they will always undercut your AH prices so even if you farm a lot you will always have very little amount of gold compared to them.

Not to mention Gold Sellers, those are the worst!

Bot in AV is a myth.

I’m actively following the bot community, and there’s no bot in AV. People are making bot to “level” and “farm golds”. But there’s no PvP bot like the “Honnorbuddy” program that was used in Retail.

There’s some people that are AFK in AV, they press a button manually to don’t be kicked, and they have a double screen or whatever solution to do something else meanwhile. Being AFK is not against ToS and honestly AFK was always a thing.

Is fishing in AV (it’s like being AFK), against ToS to ? Nope.

If you think bot is going to hurt your ranking, you are wrong.

There is no way that a human being can play 24/7 without any sleep, so they eighter bot or account share and eighter of those are against ToS since they gain a very large unfair advantage over other players and mess up the ranking system for everyone, therefore griefing everyone!

They probably account share, and yes it’s against ToS. If you’re logging in from the same IP, or even the same neighborhood, your chances are being caught and punished are effectively nil unless you stream yourself doing it …

I guess it will happen more and more for R12 to R14 because the amount of timeplay required is just inhuman.

to bad the customer support is automated too  … bots always win

actually you are highly mistaken because one of the guild members I have kicked is a programmer himself and made his own bot for AV so I dont know where you are getting your info from. If there is a will there is a way!

You clearly dont… just Google the other name for a killer whale and that bot has an AV bot.

Think there aren’t bots in BGs… you’re deluded.

My perception of the situation is that it’s actually 10-15 “players” that play less then 5% of the time in AV. What is very remarkable is the fact that people dont really report even the most obvious cases were “players” have 0 hk 0 leaders killed and 0 objectives etc.

The only conclusion I can draw is that a majority now at least part time afk in AV.

well I mean thats an entirely different matter on its own, it comes down to the players to report those afk in bg’s asap if they want to have an optimal group running. I know it sucks but, think about it this way with players afking in bg’s, players botting that could well possibly be 1/4 of the av team and the others are just brainless farming. In the end of the day it comes down to blizzard developing a sophisticated anti-cheat engine to counter this issue, or atleast respond to players that have been reported on countless occasions for being botting.

#no changes!

There are no bots in BFA max multiboxers destroing local flora.

IT IS

Behaviour

Behaviour that intentionally detracts from others’ enjoyment (such as griefing, throwing, feeding, etc.) is unacceptable. We expect our players to treat each other with respect, and promote an enjoyable environment. Acceptable behaviour is determined by player reports and Blizzard’s decision, and violating these guidelines will result in account and gameplay restrictions.

At this exact moment, the bots I report for days are still doing their dirty task at the exact same place where I found them everyday.

What have Blizzard done ? NOTHING

Oh no, they banned me from Forum a few times, because their lack of action raise me HATRED and HANGER against their company quality of service which is not what I expected from a so called top gaming company.
