I once saw a player in game with the name (and forgive me here…) Darkykiller

Remarkably few took issue with it.

Where I’m from that only means one thing and to say it’s not very nice is an understatement

Isn’t it spelled Dachau? Maybe learn to spell the words that offend you before having a meltdown. :sparkles:

Means the same where I’m from and I would have completely reported it for a name change.

Jesus that’s bad

There are tons of these, also many trying to circumvent the word filter, I personally don’t report these, it makes it easier to avoid :poop: heads.

I imagine it means the same everywhere that speaks English.

So many folk jumped to his defense which to me was worse than the name…

“He wants to kill the dark” - no, he’s a racist scumbag

I play with French players on my English realm. No reason to assume that a player from a German realm is automatically German.

Yep let’s create a delusional story …

My 123 friends doesn’t wanna play anymore since XXX.

I have interacted with 10000+ players doing mythic+ dungeons ~raid-lfr and never bothered in nearly 20 years . Odd enough not only you but also 3 friends no longer wanna play the game after playing with German players… (Lying ?S )

Really 2024 it amaze me with beyond stupidity topics …and the special snowflakes with zero social skill-awareness or specific Human traits that get offended over everything .

I haven’t interacted with Germans much in WoW, but I did hunt TLPD with a group and they were some of the coolest people I’ve met in the game. I’ve found my fellow English WoW players to be a lot more annoying and toxic than German players.

You can’t compare the two situations because English is the modern day lingua franca.

Almost the entire world speaks English, but only three countries speak German, and almost nobody outside those countries do.

But no, I mean technically you can’t be 100% sure. But you can be a lot more sure than in your example, especially since server and client language are forced to comply in Europe. (and nowhere else :upside_down_face: )

I can and did.

That’s the English for you in general though :grinning:

It is because American culture had too much of an impact here and with it came the attitude. I mean, I’m proud to be English but not because of what English people are today.

I jest with the English jibe of course (I’m Scottish)

But far too many negative American traits are becoming more and more prevent here, and not just in game.

People are becoming more and more entitled, think that their happiness is all that matters and talk like morons at every opportunity.

Biggest red flag that you’re talking to a moron? “Bro…”

It’s also the noise some people make when sneezing.

Things that are mad red flags for me as someone who almost lives in Scotland :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

People who use the following

“Bro”
“It’s a vibe / we vibe / vibe any variation”
“Love language”
“It is what it is”
“My truth / their truth”

A lot of these are just slang you pick up if you’re around the internet a lot and are imo fine to use in casual conversation. I’m not even a native english speaker but use half of these on a daily basis.
