All you are doing is ruining peoples gaming experience. Its not a Horde vs Alliance thing, you are just genuinely griefing people now and wasting their real life time.
I know you may not have much to do in real life as you appear to spend 24/7 in Felwood, but other people do have lives and don’t have the time to spend getting buffs over and over. I hate getting buffs but unfortunately its the meta that every raid leader demands these days. Just give it a break bud and if you’re bored go and enjoy another game.
Why did you roll on a pvp realm if you’re going to come on forum to complain about it?
You don’t need world buffs, especially not songflower. So if you want to avoid being dispelled, don’t take them.
Also, if those people you called out see this post you’ve basically ensured that they keep targeting you specifically making your life even worse.
Played on a PvP server cause thats what my retail guildmates wanted and gave a romanticised view of. Unfortunately that now means I am stuck here unless Blizz offer a free transfer.
Unfortunately PuG raid leaders offer bonus rolls for people with certain buffs, songflower being one of those. People are obsessed with World Buffs which in my opinion is a big flaw in classic.
I hope the person originally mentioned doesn’t, but you’re probably right, I’ll undoubtedly become a target. But tbh it needs to be said, I think players forget there are other people on the other side of the screen who are having their real life time wasted and their enjoyment spoiled.

edit: don’t forget that he’s probably really salty about something else, which means he got forced into doing this. seems like more of a win than a loss for the ones he ganks.
Yeah, he does spend the majority of his time there and undoubtedly wastes more of his own time than others. But then he probably thinks that is time well spent.
I just want it to stop to be honest, it’s really getting me down, to the point where I just signed absent for the raid I was going to go to and logged off. Rolling PvP was a huge mistake for me, but to get my characters off that server will now cost me £47 which is just nuts.
Unfortunately I would have had to get DM buffs, ZG buff, Onyxia buff and Rend buff again, on top of songflower. It wasn’t worth the time. Its unfortunate that being buffed and parsing have become such an obsession for raid leads in classic, otherwise I could just go without them and this problem wouldn’t exist.
I’m trying to get the human in the guy to realise that its not just a game. He’s wasting an actual person’s time and ruining their day. Surely he can’t be that much of a git.
You underestimate the levels of sweat people will go to on PvP servers.
There’s a reason I rolled on a PvE server despite loving PvP in Classic.
Cus ‘world PvP’ 90% of the time is just griefing.
A lesson I am now learning the hard way. In truth I’ll probably end up paying for a transfer. Unless I find out soon that I can transfer for free at the TBC launch.
It sucks to be dispelled or killed but that is exactly what PvP servers are for the added risk that you can get dispelled or killed when venturing out in world. Do some people take it to the extreme sure but guilds are also taking this world buff meta to the extreme too.
Personally I just wouldn’t raid with anyone that manipulates the loot to players with a buff over another participant I wouldn’t be paying for consumables and wasting my time for a disadvantage when it comes to loot.
Naming and shaming might risk your account as well.
It really doesn’t bother me in the slightest if I get ganked or dispelled after getting my world buffs just makes the raid more fun and challenging Instead of roll face on keyboard kill boss in 30 seconds parses are way overated and I could care less about speed running through content.
Unfortunately my choices are limited, my work takes up 12 to 14 hours a day so when I get time to raid its usually with pugs who reward buffs. I agree I hate it too and personally I think all buffs should expire the moment you step into an instance. WoW Classic would have been immensely more enjoyable if that were the case.
I’m not naming and shaming as such. I genuinely want the guy to realise that ruining other peoples game time isn’t cool. And if he doesn’t agree then he feels no shame about it anyway. But the same principle of the post could go for anyone griefing. We all tend to forget about the player behind the avatar.
Unfortunately this also means I’d be choosing not to get any loot. Some runs were offering up to a +45 roll for all buffs, so I’d be at a distinct disadvantage.
Also the naming and shaming still has to amount to harassment, which to be honest I don’t think this post would warrant. But then time will tell, if it happens it happens.
I’m not worried about being a bigger target cause as I said I’ll likely transfer. That or I’ll just play something else.
