For what purpose? In any case Hunter has traps, binding, clip etc.
Mage also has Blast Wave, but again, for what?
No tanking pet, and I would pick a tanking pet over DB or BW anytime.
So has Hunter

infinite roots are extremely potent for tank kiting, unless your playing with an blood dk or prot warrior helping an tank out with multiple frost nova, ice nova, blizzard, frozen orb,db,blastwave it enabled the tank to get pull big get aggro and kite when needed
DB and blaswave are what makes mages near S tier if mage damage wasnt so damn undertuned atm for ranged dps in dragonflight m+, with multiple aoe stops additonaly when both abilities can be reset faster with shifting power the mage provides the team with an spec that wants big pulls for ignite/frozen orb/touch of magi and helps with multiple aoe stops, no other dps does this
fire has an cheat death, frost has 2 iceblocks and greater invis for all specs is an 60% dr something that hunter would gladly appreciate now that their feign death conduit is gone, likewise blazing/prismatic/frozen barrier are all as valuable as exhil on an 30 second cooldown
