BMAH exploit by boosting communities and unfair competition

On PTR, if you make a trial level “110” they will instantly be locked after 10minutes after the tutorial instead of 3 hours (down from 8 some time ago). Maybe its a bug and only ptr stuff but if not then you got your fix.

The problem I see with these “communities” is that they’ve become very fast the only choice by simply pushing out any other competition. I’d much rather give my money to a guild to carry me for the curve or whatever than to a community that isn’t technically doing anything against the TOS, but then months later you find out they’ve been selling it for real money behind closed doors (and the people who are doing the actual boosting aren’t even the one benefiting from this).

The whole thing with BMAH is just distasteful and makes boosting communities into behemoths that have no real competition. They should make it at least so that you need to level up your characters in order to use your goods.

9.550.000 is enough. Been there done that.
bought plagued proto drake for 955k gold in WOD this way

why? cos the increment on bid is 5% minimum and you just need the minimum bid to be over gold cap.

Yeah i dunno, still a long ways to go.

I would buy the TCG tabard off of Ebay but thats just scammer central.

goldcap costs over 1100€ worth of tokens, i could just buy the tabard of brilliance or whatever for 600€ online but nothing feels safe.

yep, could be a scam.
i bought Ethereal Portal and Dark Portal for ingame gold in MOP from a player that i could trust and it was fine

few months later i wanted to buy Big Blizzard Bear from trade chat advert and got swindled for 500k gold.

these items have no safe way of buying in-game or otherwise, aside from BMAH.

this is probably the worst thing, wish blizzard would just make a ‘‘store’’ that isnt setup with this stupid bid system that boosters have cornered

i would happily pay blizzard 500€ for a tabard, but nothing is safe atm

Buying physical codes off eBay is pretty safe tbh, you are backed by ebays buyer guarantee and if a seller tries to scam you its pretty easy to get your money back. Alternatively sites like wowtcgloot have a good reputation and you can buy the codes pretty easily there as well if you want.

As far as blizzard is concerned loot codes are physical items that probably shouldn’t be traded for gold unless its a redeemed mount/pet that is BoE ingame.

Well all the sellers are in america, getting a physical card to europe takes 6 months or something.

Then running the risk of having it scratched? No thanks.

I could buy digital codes, but ebay doesnt protect you on digital goods. So im SOL on that.

There is just no way to win here.

Tabard codes used to be redeemed online by redeeming UDE points that you got from codes on special cards in every pack of some very old TCG sets, and had to redeem a very long time ago… There isn’t anything to scratch off and most of the time you will just be getting it delivered by email anyway…

Wowtcgloot doesn’t send codes out either, if you buy one from their site they will just give it to you and only really provide you a picture of the card/website printout on request if it’s needed.

Why would you spend that much? You can easily get it for 1-1.5mil with those black market guys

You think this website is legit? It seems dead since like 5 years back.

AHHAHAHHAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA not a chance in hell, i tried bidding 3 million gold for a tabard once, a guy outbid me EVERY SINGLE TIME, 1 second after i placed my bid up until i had no gold left.

This is the mafia boosters OP is talking about.

I’ve personally bought quite a lot from there back in the day (when things were a lot cheaper), not as much recently but I did get 2 pets a few weeks ago.

It’s 100% legit no question about that.

Not sure if you’re serious but I got tabard of brilliance for like 600k-700k, tabard of nature for like 1.2 million and tabard of frost for like 1.5 million. And that’s including the fees (300-500K) from the black market guy I bought from

100% serious, i tried bidding 3 million gold for a tabard and lost

Its impossible to win.

I’m just going to buy wow tokens for a year, get 9,999,999g and buyout a tabard

Then it was overpriced anyway.

Average price for tabards is between 1 and 2 million, and you can easily get one with 2 million today or tomorrow even.

If you insist

You are delusional, i wouldn’t expect to get it for anything less than 5 million.

Maybe i could win it for 7-8 million on a dead german RP realm

Alright then

What server do you claim you did this on? I dont believe for 1 second you bought them on ravencrest

Well, things like plagued proto-drake are very succulent so I think someone who wants that mount and has the gold cap available to have it will bid on a level 20 if he has the change because he doesn’t know when the mount will be available on this realms BMAH. So maybe the option should be to not allow to bid on BMAH with a Trial Character nor with a character that can’t use the item, that would discard level 20 characters too.

I personally bought some codes from them recently, including Vanilla Collector Edition, and some other TGC pets and toys over the years and I have never have a problem. The only problem I have was when I bought a code for the pet that was included with a real push in Blizzard store, that they give me a code only valid in USA but fortunatelly Blizzard support is so good they just check I have added to my account an US code for the pet and the support guys changed the flag in my account so I can have it on EU account. Nevermind that problem is irrelevant for TGC codes because those codes are valid for both US and EU regions.

I don’t know if it was just very lucky but in my realm I was able to buy Tabard of the Flames for just 150k
