BMAH exploit by boosting communities and unfair competition

I mean, if that’s your main, with no raid/M+/PvP progress and a 416 ilevel you can’t boost anyone anyway.

Obviously I have a character above 450. The concept of having a main is outdated to me, especially when the character count is above 40 by now.

Gold shouldn’t be tradable between players, it would solve many issues we have in wow right now.

Gold shouldn’t even be tradable with vendors either tbh, even more issues would be solved.

That’s a very good point! They’d need to be able to equip the items!

boosters generally carry a character on every Server…

you transfer the gold to Said Character on your server they get you the item. boosting communities Generally Work this way, they’ll have arrays of Players on every servers with characters on others…

they simply trade the gold onto their alt on your server and then simply do the boost, u can argue “They dont Get the gold on their server them?!” this is a Simple fix

you find a Fellow booster in the same community. u then trade her the gold on that server. for the gold they’ve accumilated on their alt on your main server.

and Walla.

you’ve gotten the gold to ur main server.

theres a reason why boosters generally band together like they do… and this is generally why… its much easier to provide the service… if u have a Array of People who can move the gold around through. as to offer the service on every server, you need a Second person who’ll trade the gold through. and the only way of this working is a Direct Swap.

I got like 20 items from bmah, and the most I paid for an item was 600k for the Arcanite Ripper axe, cheapest was actually my pally T3 head for 25k (on a dead RP realm), so you defo dont need to use boosters to get the items, but it does save you alot of time unless you have alot of friends Who are willing to swap gold on different servers with you

The thing about bmah that if you wanna get it by yourself, you gotta be very patient unless you are crazy loaded with gold, and only bid after your own limited. I’ve Been checking it more or less daily since mid legion and only set i got 8/8 on is shammy : /

High skill and experience are required for being able to boost. Looking at your achievements you seem to be missing both. So how would you even be able to boost?

Rohan, don’t you have anything better to do rather to assume that I’m envious of something? I could also have farmed for an AH-dino mount but I chose not to. It was never a question about “can do” but if it’s what I want to do.

The point still stands: Boosting went overboard and everyone’s paying in some regard a price.

same goes for TCG items. I had a chance to buy spectral tiger for 1.5mil in WoD and now its 30 mil but yeah keep whining about boosting destroying everything because you click your abilities with mouse and are unable to boost for gold which is the easiest way of making gold.

tcgloot is legit and very much alive. people who are into trading/flipping TCG have way more gold than boosters btw.

Blizzard made lots of repeatable content. This is a side effect of that. The amount of content that has no lockout which can be run over and over plus easy access to buy gold via the tokens means we have a this perfect situation for organised communities to boost. As a collective they can also offer all sorts of other services.

I’m not assuming anything.

When you say something like this:
" I need gold too but do you see me boosting people? "

It sounds like: “I could boost but I choose not to”

When judging from your armory, you clearly would not be able to boost even if you wanted. So what’s the point of your post?

It sounds like those people saying " yeah those famous youtubers make a lot of money with stupid videos, I could do that too but I don’t because insert random excuse about morality "

Are you someone who knows me or…?

It was meant to taking metaphoric. Just because it’s easy to boost, it doesn’t mean it’s the healthiest solution for the community.

You cannot know this. In fact, I would be able on another character to but it’s not something I want to do because I rather spend my time doing something differently inGame.

Alright, im just at my wits end here.

Im sitting on 2.3 million gold on this character and cant do anything with it. I need goldcap to buy stuff of the BMAH anyway.

If TCGloot is legit i might just buy the stuff off of there. 600$ is a lot, but its better than buying 40 wow tokens or whatever it is to get goldcapped in wow.

Boosting is here to stay so long as there is no RMT involved, and there is nothing wrong with it.

I’m not quite sure how this is different from me trading gold with a friend between servers to bid on items on several servers, except that it’s probably being used in a larger scale.

And as far as I can tell from the discords of a few boosting communities I’m on, this is an uncalled for accusation with no proof, which kind of devalues your entire post.

Yes boosting communities bad. We know. But not all of them are participating in real money trading. In fact I personally believe RMT is, especially with Gallywix now being banned and people losing several hundreds of millions of gold due to their bans, rather rare in boosting communities.

And tossing the occasional “They’re selling gold for money!” in your post doesn’t make it a better point. Really.

Also again, how is this different from me using real money to sell tokens on a server to be able to participate in bidding?

We should start using “smile” as a currency. Everything should cost free and you would get 1 smile everytime you smile! Screw communities, dont ruin my smile
