Had 2 BOE items from the new raid that i have been posting at the ah, was gonna repost them,and when i picked them up from the mailbox they suddenly were soulbound…
How does that even happen? bug?
I had the same just happen to me. I got a hero BoE and listed it earlier today on the AH, but I just got it in the mail and it’s soulbound. Furthermore, I checked in the AH and all of the other items, same or similar to mine, are no longer available in the AH.
I believe it it associated with some kind of a hotfix for the raid drop rate and I don’t think we will get their BoE status back.
yeah i noticed that myself when checking the ah,other items are gone.
kinda messed up if that is actually the case, if they dont get reverted back to boe,then i demand to be reimbursed for the gold spent on those items, tho i know that is never gonna happen…
Same here, I have Psychopat’s Ravemantle 642 ilvl and only took it from mail and it instantle became soulbound, please Blizzard fix this we are losing money for every minute this is not fixed
Right now, I can only see 5 BoE items in the AH (3 plate and 2 leather), all >1mil gold and have been posted super recently most likely after the hotfix
highest ilvl on my ah is a 642 and its for 1mill.
do you have link or something that is posted about this hotfix?
blizz really cant think this is gonna go over well, scamming people out of gold.

yup same here, picked em up from mailbox, got the sound for new transmog added,thought hmm that was strange, checked bags and see that two 642 boe’s were now soulbound…

thanks. well they said that they are working on another hotfix to adress the issue, so hopefully it gets fixed, if not then imma need a full refund on the gold spent on those items ;o

Looted an item from today’s raid and it became Soulbound on relog after the AH refused to accept it.

Yeah same thing also happened to me… My auction return me in 1-2 as soulbound thats a crap bug or issue…

got a response from a GM, saying that
"
I understand that you listed 2 BoE items from Undermine on the Auction House, and after the auction ended, you received the items via mail. However, you’ve noticed that both has become soulbound and can no longer be sold. after reviewing all the details of your case, I want to let you know that this seems to be a bug, in this case, I kindly suggest you to reset your UI, and if after doing that the issue persist, try to repair the game, and if not work, please submit a bug report."
and he even posted a link to a wowhead article writing about this issue.
and resetting your UI etc has no effect since it’s an issue on blizzard’s behalf.
I got a very similar response where they told me to check the forums for known bugs, or to report the issue using ingame systems so the team can take a look.
Like…bro, that’s literally what I just did.
At this point, I doubt we are going to see our BoE items ever again.
im starting to have my doubts myself, but how can you just out of nowhere make stuff soulbound because they have messed up with the drop rates (as i what i presume happend) i spent 1mil on those items, for now to just be useless items stuck in my bags.
they atleast should have given out a statement with a chance for people to unload their items or atleast transfer them to a character that can actually use them.
smells like “scam people out of their gold so they have to go buy tokens”

I understand how frustrating it can be to have your BOE items suddenly become soulbound, especially when you were planning to resell them.
This change is due to a hotfix that was implemented on March 1, 2022, which adjusted certain items that were unintentionally BOE to be soulbound as originally intended. Unfortunately, if the items were in the Auction House and then returned to you via mail, they would now be bound to your character. This is intended behavior, and we cannot reverse this change for items that were meant to be resold.

so pretty much they messed up with the items,they allow them to be bought and sold on the AH, now they make the supposed BOE’s that were not meant to be BOE’s soulbound and the players get screwed.
just amazing how incompetent this company is.

The GM’s statement is false, because today I found the same item that got sent back to me from BoE to soulbound in the AH for >1mil (several entries). Therefore, they are still dropping for some players OR they got them in the previous days and just now listed them in AH.
Customer Support is replying same thing to everybody open a ticket… This is outragious to be honest. Back in the days ticket ment something and “GM” means something. I remember in Vanilla or TBH something GM accualy in game reach out to me and talked with me about a quest and help me out… Nowadays Customer Support is kinda call center that- i doubt they even play the game- just answer certain tickets with certain context… They want you to reprot bug in game or forum/ or they sending you to a post on blizzard forum or even in “wowhead” which is not an official website lol.
I am also aggre with that openion above I believe items are not gonna be BOE back unfortunately and people will suffer from this bug… Lets hope for best.
