Seems to me after the DK campaign in Legion that Bolvar’s not exactly the noble and just beacon of Stormwind he was.
I have some trouble with this. It was stated by Blizzard that Ner’zhul was effectively erased and there was only Arthas that remained. In Wrath we witnessed the helm fall of Lichboi and Arthas spoke to his father’s spirit. Then we had the whole “there must always be a Lich King” stuff, at that point, I assumed that means that the Helm of Domination is effectively just a controller for the Scourge, as Ner’zhul is gone and Arthas now dead.
So Bolvar puts it on, years later during Legion and he’s blatantly not his old self. So… what changed? What influenced him?
Have I missed something or is there a new retcon looming on the horizon?

Probably, wouldn’t be surprised if Blizzard decided Ner’zhul is still in the helmet and “Terenas” in the cinematic was actually Yog-Saron.

Yogg-Saron disguised himself as a Vrykul woman during his time as prisoner in Ulduar, and you are suggesting that after his defeat he took up the form of a Human King? It appears that even the Old Gods have finally realized the potential of Humanity.

I was wondering how long it would take ‘Human Potential’ to crop up again. Needless to say, I am not surprised by whom it has been as well.

That helm is a bit unhealthy to the mind and soul, just like every Nathrezim-made stuff
Bolvar was/is just a human… and that thing was made by a race that favorite pass time is to ruin civilizations

I would put my money on the possibility, that the helm screws with the mind of Bolvar, and that Ner’zhul is still around containing it. The Frost DK artifact quest gives a hint at this possibility.
Even the noblest of soul will eventually be corrupted if they become the next LK. We should assassinate him before he goes crazy and then have a lotery whom the next victim will be.

Actually that’s a brilliant suggestion.
Sylvanas being the new literal LQ would make so much sense. No idea how they’d work towards that though, she’d have to kill Bolvar 
If we kill the LK then the Scourge will have no leader to control them and confine them to Northrend.
All the Scourge will act of their own accord and will thus be more difficult to deal with as they will splinter off each other into smaller groups.
True, this is a problem. She was always oh-so-squeamish about killing. Hek hek hek hek, I kid, I kid!

I’ve been levelling up my human paladin/DK alts lately and I have to say I haven’t missed that horrible golden pyramid city of yours!
