Bonus rolls are gone in SL

People are saying its good and that loot is meant to be rarer etc. but keep in mind that situation where you badly need a specific thing like a trinket or weapon and it just refuses to drop, at least with bonus rolls you could trick yourself into thinking you might get it instead of artifact power.

Well in the castle raid, you get tokens you can trade in for weapons. But divided up like old tier tokens.

I haven’t looked up any of this stuff yet myself, but if you mean all those tokens like in Wrath of the Lich King to clutter the currency table… I’m in for it. That type of clutter was the best clutter.

But the ones likeing this are not doing mythic high end keys or raids like me or you so they do not understand that .

I also remember you saying the game got too easy. It’s ironic cause bonus loot makes the game easier.
So who wants the game to be easier and casual here?!

Edit i think with this one you will get what i meant in the first place.

here you go

If you are raiding mythic or high end keys its not easy in the first place but you keep going high level heroic raider you !!

This!

I remember crafting the Stormherald Mace in TBC, now that was a beauty and worth the craftmanship and cost. Professions were great then, please make them that way in SL.

I normally got Artifact power from my bonus rolls anyway

Bonus rolls meant to get some boss specific loot table items. Bad change. The troll vault wont gonna replace that.

Its YOU who claimed the game got easier!! not me! I just said I wanted this mechanic out.

right here mate RIGHT! HERE!

I’m somewhat relieved, I started to view bonus rolls as just another source of disappointment.

I had more wasted seals than an entire ocean of beer.

That’s why we have the vault. You have 9 (no duplicates) chances per week for specific item. That’s way better in term of loot sniping than what we had before.

IMO it’s a good change, seals had many flaws. One of them is being super frustrating (Woohoo worthless AP !), or the fact that you could hoard them between seasons (which happens during all BFA seasons if I recall correctly, and allowed you a stupid amount of rerolls for fast gear the first weeks of new content).

The great vault should compensate for it … assuming you grind it. This feature feels like a scam:
BFA main loot problem was RNG in weekly chest which, in one hand was one of the best reward possible, but on the other hand, often a disapointing useless piece of gear. At the Blizzcon we were promise a possibility of choice to reduces this frustration … but when it went live (on beta), we discovered it nows requires extra grind to have extra possibilities, each week …
So now if you want extra choices you need 4/10 M+ per week per character … or stick with the usual weekly run for the same BFA RNG crappy chest … what an improvement …

Obviously, if one M+ was needed for the full possibilities it would be too strong the first weeks of the patch. However I think it would be OK to loosen the requirements for possible rewards as patch advances, to allow people to catch up on gear & perfect their build (which would matter less when patch is quite advanced & progress has already been done mostly).

Honestly, it’s a good thing.

Bonus rolls since Legion have been nothing more than a mandatory task on your reset day to-do list.
If you forget them you either waste peoples time or feel like a clown.

Getting an item from it didn’t even feel like a bonus, it just felt like… finally an item… more often than not the bonus roll ended in disappointment.

And finally i’ll never have to query if bonus tokens work for the possible mount. The rules on that always seemed so random.

BRs only work on WBs from MoP Sha,Nalak,Oon and Galleon .

BRs never been a hassle for me since they came in during MoP you earn the currency to buy them in a passive way just by playing the game and takes all of 1 min to buy them .
They also helped towards your BLP and with weapons and trinkets being a pain to get they did help .
Soon see in a few months time people complaining they are not geared enough or they miss BRs or mythics .
Most of the ones wanting this gone have in other threads complained about the game being gated and just for daily numbers for blizz well they just added one more gate to it .

Casual gearing becomes worse and worse every expansion, while making boosting more and more profitable.

Honestly I haven’t seen anyone actually asking for their removal, not saying it hasn’t happened but I think it just became so mundane and boring that people stopped caring about them all together.

The weekly vault really should be the bonus loot for each week. I don’t think bonus rolls added or reduced any form of gating to the game, it was another layer of RNG ontop of the default RNG on getting loot.

I was thinking for some time that if they would nerf bonus rolls even more, after they have been reduced to 2 (it was 3 in Legion) so I kinda expected this, not that I’m defending it though.

All it gave me was those battle runes. Only time i ever got a gear drop[ was from the two ny’alotha world bosses

This is a good change, too much RNG with coins anyway.

And you getting a piece with bis starts from the weekly will be a bis item for the rest of the tier you cannot TF/Socket roll something better which is nice.
