Boost Buddies (Horde) Free Boosting!

Boost Buddies is a community offering free boosts in M+, Visions, and future plans heroic, and mythic raids, and much more. Our horde server is now open, and we have already grown immensely.

We used to mainly be alliance, however now we have two servers up, and going about, I am here today to talk about the horde.

Before anything is said:

If you don’t believe this project is real, or its a scam, you’re the problem.
Don’t be jealous.

I’m looking for help.

If you have just a tiny shred of corruption in your blood, do not even think about signing up to help. There is no fame, no money, no gold, no partnerships, and no nothing in it for you.

We have plenty of boosters, but none seem to have the time, therefore I am looking for one or more individuals to help and by help, I mean everything is ready, and running, this is mainly about managing the community, and doing small things here and there, time consuming jobs, that do not give you anything in return.

I’m looking for a manager, or managers to help me setup boost Groups, when I am either boosting, or advertising, or not available. The job is simple, you setup groups, engage the community, welcome new faces, and keep the mood going, this job requires you to be genuine.

I can smell fake personas from far away, you should want to help, and enjoy helping people, and be a great outgoing person.

There is no gain, nothing and I mean that truly, if you ask yourself why do it then, then you’re not the right person for the job. If you’re interested join the discord, and send me a message.

Is the discord link provided for the alliance server, too?

The alliance discord is in a halt at the moment.
Its still up, and working, however I am mainly focused on getting the horde discord fully functioning before reviving the alliance.

When things were running smooth on the alliance, I decided to go horde and start it up, sadly without proper management, things go into a halt, I tried multiple times, but it didn’t seem to work, so I have decided to focus on the horde for now, and when the time is right, and I can move back to the alliance without having the horde discord go into a halt, I will revive it.

I’m sorry to hear that dude - if you get the alliance one setup again, throw a link/post on the forum.

you are making AD report and bye!

There is a dedicated forum for community recruitment.

Report and move on.

I joined the discord and read through the FAQ of it. I think you have a bit of a marketing issue.

Since 2016, there’s something similar on the German wow community called the L-Gruppe. It’s a Discord, it even has some of the forum blueposters in there. You are calling it a boost, the L-Gruppe calls it “learning by doing” which seems to fit your vision and wishes more.

There are a lot of “no requirements” communities like Zen Horde, SoD, Calm Keystones etc. The reason I avoid them is, because they attract a lot of players who simply don’t want to play content properly but instead just die through it without ever improving (not all, I’ve met some extremely, extremely good players who outskill me in every way in both SoD and Zen Horde). What you want, on the other hand, is giving people a chance at learning. I can support that!

If I may give you a couple of suggestions:

  • don’t call it boosting, because it’s not. Call it coaching.
  • don’t differentiate between coaches and coachees. Just make it a safe space LFG community.
  • in difference to the other safe space communities, allow setting up a goal (in most of the safe space communities, it’s not allowed to set up the goal to time a key)
  • as a second difference, encourage everyone to join voice for all non-trivial content
  • as a third difference, allow constructive and friendly criticism (coaching) during content. This is a big taboo in many of those communities.

The L-Gruppe is pretty cool. I did my first M+ run with them after a 7 years wow break. Thoee people rock and some of those “learning” pugs even managed to time +17s / +18s sometimes. We could use something like that on the English WoW and your vision seems to align with with it pretty nicely.

Your marketing plan is great for something that is paid, not when its free. As you can see in the video I linked, we offer coaching, and help. We encourage / Only voice with the boostee’s too.

Not sure about any of the communities you are talking about, but it doesn’t seem like its had any impact on how everything is run, and how the community in wow is working.

I’m on a mission, a genuine one to stop the cold, vague atmosphere that we have in-game now.

By any means possible, you can’t attract people by saying “Hey we’re better than you, so come join us and we’ll coach you”

You catch people, and a bigger audience by offering them something that is free, which is free boosting, then you go the extra mile, and coach them ontop of that, and genuinely encourage them to engage in the run too, and guide them, as we do in our runs.

We encourage them to engage in finding groups on our discord to push keys, and to ask if they need anything.

And its working. The only two problems we have now, is that we don’t have enough advertisement, if we had advertisement I can’t imagine how big we would grow in a days time.

The second problem is that I work alone, and I can’t manage everything alone, working on the alliance discord, horde, and we are also planning to branch out to the US.

But thanks for your input.

My only issue with your marketing was the word “boost” because it gives a completely wrong impression of what you’re trying to do.

Yes, and I can understand. I agree to a certain point, but again you have to think about the state of the game. What state is the community in right now, no one would join or not enough people would join a community if it said we coach for free.

Marketing something that is free in the state the community is in right now can only be boosting. It draws in crazy amounts of people, those people will go onto show kindness to others,

Although we are new, some of our boosters are actually people we boosted in the past, and they’re now on our level, helping. There are tons of people whom were very elitist, and very rude, who’ve gone on to help others, and become less elitist and helps people in lfg’s too.

Its the message we want to convey, not the actual product. And for that we need bait, and we need numbers.

I thought you want to change the community. Start by being the change you want to see.

So what if he is making a AD? At least it’s a WoW AD. You just complained on your other thread you started that people are toxic and drama seekers, yet you do the same.
Shame on you.

There is a dedicated place for people like you: Carol Baskin’s Sanctuary.

Although your “mission” is noble and with good intentions, i think it will fail. People don’t like to do things for free. Simple as that. And to add more difficulty to your “mission”, you want to coach people, a task that is even more difficult and time consuming than a boost.
It will be hard to find good (pro) players that are willing to waste hours daily for nothing in return.
I wish you best of luck and i really hope you can achieve your goal.

quote me champion go ahead.

Dunno how isolating people by discords and communities is going to make overall WoW better~ I would never join discords even for free boost :joy:

Good luck?

I don’t see why this would be bad. Having a community of likeminded people has always been the way the WoW community works since guilds have always existed

He said that he want to change wows current state that is - “cold”. Following the same pattern will not change it.

Social guilds and communities are the least cold part of the WoW community though

Maybe~ but that will make his followers happy and not change game itself that was supposed to be a “mission”.

I’m not defending his community in particular at all. Just questioning and trying to understand your general reasoning “joining a community is bad”
