Good change. The only people who are complaining are the people who benefited from it. Too bad, play the game legit and abide by their rules or unsub and never come back instead of sitting around on the forums moaning about it.
From what I’ve seen so far between this forum, Reddit, YT and the actual in-game chat, most people seem to support this change. Blizzard would be better off listening to these people instead of you so why don’t you just pack your bags and go? This, along with the cross-faction dungeons/raids, are VERY good changes for the game and it’s pretty clear that they are at least trying to fix the issues with the game.
I have been very critical of Blizzard and will continue to be critical when they get things wrong. This, however, is something they have actually got right for a change and I will give credit where credit is due. If people are really so angry about it then they know what to do. Blizzard aren’t going to go back on it just because a minority dislike it. Move on.
I mean you’re wrong, a lot of people who dont boost/get boosted dislike the change as well.
then again, boosting isnt against the rules, boosting communities are, which changes almost to nothing and seems more like a PR move.
if blizzard wanted to get rid of boosting they’d either get rid of it altogether, or just remove wow token.
and if they wanted to fix the economy they’d go and take down addons like TSM3.
and entire “only people who’re complaining are baddies because it doesnt affect me directly” is an awful mentality and one of the reasons game is in an awful state
Just google for a wow boost and you’ll get like 7 adverts for RTM based boosting without even looking at the actual search results. It’s a massive plague, and regardless of people supporting, should be dealt with. Banning boosting communities is good, and you can still boost for gold without the massively organized ToS breaking communities. Boosting itself is fine, and it doesn’t need companies monetizing it.
you are a person who actively supported raider io throughout legion and bfa … no doubt gearcore when they introduced that… i would not be surprised if you supported boosting too lol.
you are entitled to your opinions just as much as anyone.
This is a double edged sword. I’m glad the communities are going, since they’re getting to the point of a monopoly and the advertisement is just… well, that has needed tackling for a while now.
At the same time, this just means you’ll get way more personal spam. I’ve boosted plenty in the past, and while some of the customers were through word of mouth (especially in TBC/WotLK, when server communities were still a thing), we otherwise had to do our own advertising.
I’m not sure how much cutting out the middle man is going to solve if the practice itself keeps on going.
‘’‘it promoted boosting to become a pandemic for one… because of high expectations and requirements to even get accepted into groups…’’
This community is its own worst enemy. Like in TBC classic people were asking for ‘‘MUST BE ALL PURPLE AND KNOW TACS GRUULS LAIR’’ even though it is so easy a chimp could do it and it can be done in greens. Community kills its own game with stupid attitude like that.
except this change wont do a thing about rmt boosting and only affects boosts for in game gold. rmt boosts were against the rules since day 1, all rmt is.
yeah that definitely happened! considering I came back to the game after 10 year break, at the last month of legion or so and had no idea what keys were let alone rio
yeah, that’s what forums are for right, so we can share opinions.
except you have your own key and you can play it and invite first 4 people that queue.
this was easy to spot tho no one in the right mind got fooled with it.
and let me guess, you’re the hero we need that invites first 4 people that queue right?
I have done these dungeons hundreds of times and there’s still people stepping into 15s that don’t know basic mechanics of the dungeons. Stuff that I learned when I was doing them first time around ON NORMAL DIFFICULTY.
Imagine then not even checking people’s experience. It would be a complete clownfiesta. I frequently skip over people that have an excessive amount of untimed keys, because when that happens they’re usually the problem in it becoming not timed.
I mean, nothing wrong with rio, it shows data. that’s all it does. if someone then goes ahead and requests 2.5k rio for mythic 7 keys, that’s issue with the person not the addon.
Just because knives are used for stabbing doesnt make knives bad, most of us use knives to cut bread
