You literally don’t need fyrakk though 
We can say this about anything from MoP onwards 
Doesn’t really matter anymore we no longer live in era where your Wow accomplishment means something to player around you
long gone are days that you stood in SW and were showing off your invincible or mimiron head during WOTLK.
And no one cares about gear you are wearing because guess what this season is so free for all that even if you have 485+ that’s not even accomplishment it’s just show up every week for a weekly

Boosting would probably die down a bit if Blizzard stopped putting quest and story progression behind raid clears, for instance the final part of the Emerald Dream story is directly tied to killing Fryakk. I know the lore and story isn’t wonderful, but for some that is the only way they may see this content. High end raiders have no interest in the story tbh, while some people who are get locked out of it. I always through it was a stupid design.
You can do this in LFR if all you want is the story.
How else am i going to get the axe ?
Yeah, i wonder myself, Retail is incredibly dull, My Motivation instantly drains after trying to apply for M+, due to that weird recruit system.
Also classes being bloated and complicated does not really help.
So getting the gear is fun, but then playing just becomes a chore
Story locked - you can’t play. Go and try to kill normal fyrakk then? It’s crazy that if there is a quest for killing fyrakk, the first thing what comes in mind - “it’s time for buying heroic boost” 
Heroic boost is 30 min in/out for last 2 bosses.
No need for waiting at all.
So yes, a lot of people don’t like to wait or “Progress” when you can just go in and get it done instantly
I killed normal fyrakk in my first raid like week one or two. You don’t need heroic.
For axe as well, earn yourself what you get.

It’s still a lot slower and a bigger chore than just going in and killing it with boost.
Then it’s not for you. Go collect mog from old raids or something. Or go buy teleports because you need them lol
You also don’t need axe probably since you don’t play the game.

Literally you. This is the reason you buy it. You want things you didn’t deserve, the things that are tied to achievements…
I don’t care of your achievements, if I see someone on heroic fyrakk I assume they bought it anyways

Why have this mindset in a game ?
Why do you care what others “Deserve” ?
You can now, but it took 5 weeks to open up. That sucks a bit for people who care about the story, or roleplayers who’d like to engage with the content that opens up after the conclusion of the raid Not all of them feel confident or able enough to try the raid.
Personally I’d rather see this content open up after the WFR ends for example, in case Blizzard cares about the story of the boss having been defeated in telling that tale. Or just have the story resolve around it, without requiring the completion of the raid.

Because you didn’t deserve the things you have? I’m just telling the truth. Why do you have mindset of having things/gear/vault you didn’t work for?
The boost is “Last 2”, I am not going to find a full raid boost, that’s just dumb.
I do the boost for the 2 vault slot and the axe chance.
I don’t care about achivements, curve or that i “Killed” heroic.
It just does not matter.
Perfect time to do normal raid and try to unlock it.
Because blizzard have introduced a way for me to get things easier so i just use that method ?
Why would i spend more time than needed on something ?
Personally i’d prefer to just buy it straight from blizz store and just avoid the entire boosting step completely, But does not feel like that is something blizz is gonna bring out
