If someone is hated by BB and the guards attack them on sight, will the guards still attack you for attacking them?
Yes i think so
The moment you attack a guard or heal someone attacked by a guard you enter their threat table.
That doesn’t answer the question. I’m talking about attacking a hated player, not the guards. You would be assisting the guards.
My bad, I misunderstood. That question makes more sense and I honestly don’t know.
I believe they aggro to anyone entering pvp combat not counting duels.

For me the situation cropped up in Wrath so it is a bit skewed but from what I remember my character (who was Honored at the time with The Green Grease of Azeroth) could - on a PvE Server - attack a PvP flagged character that wasn’t Friendly+ with Booty Bay right under the noses of the BB bouncers and they’d only harrass the other character.
No idea how it works in Classic, the flagging mechanic seems to be a bit buggy, at least in Dustwallow (?) Marsh (with the Missing Diplomat chain I made the guards attack a spider and then the Quest target, flagging me too - that weird ‘dealing with conspirators’ flagging thing - and they promptly killed me too. Damn dirty Elves…)
So just experimenting is probably the best, you can always go Superman to prevent big Repairs.
