Quite ironic that I’m not talking aboot ya. Besides, I do understand why a 13 Drood thinks classes are broken.
Shortly after getting to The Maw, I thought it felt like playing the previous expansions - land in place of chaos, get out, go through a handful of areas, get comfy somewhere with a group, and then the daily grind starts.
Need to be strongly delusional or a trashy classic fanboy to be bored of SL or think it’s bad.

So anyone who disagree with you is trash. How mature. I’ll still give you some of MY reasons for why I’m not enjoying this expansion:
- Leveling. No freedom to at least do the zones in the order you want to, like in BfA. No, it’s an on-rails experience from start to end.
- Torghast. Extremely hyped, and the reality? Boring and repetitive. I hoped the new wings this week would be better, but no. And it’s mainly based on pure luck.
- Travel. Annoying terrain with obstacles and/or “multilevel” ground, where you rarely can go in a straght line from A to B. And travelling between zones takes an eternity.
- Dailies. The quests are not that bad, but getting to them is. And that makes the whole system annyoing and frustrating. This will improve when we can fly, though. Rewards are not impressive either, it’s mostly about anima.
- The Maw. As I already said, I really really hate that zone. Slow to get anywhere, you both have to mainly tavel on foot, and must also constantly fight because of the mob density, cannot have long sessions trying to do multiple objectives and rares due to the eye. Etc, etc, etc.
- The anima system. You need over 90k just to fill that thingy in your covenant area (forgot the name) to upgrade everything. And if you’re a completist, ie going for all mounts, you’ll have to do this FOUR TIMES. In addition you’ll need insane amounts for other stuff. Probably at least 2-300k total, doing only one covenant. And we’re doing WQs and random LFGs for 35+ anima… NOTHING in this game has killed my motivation more efficiently than this.
I could go on and on and on. Bottom line, it’s boring and annoying, and by the end of January, my sub expires and won’t be renewed, at least not until we can fly. Then I might be back to check up on things.

I do agree that some runs can be frustrating when you don’t get the right powers but we’ve barely scratched the surface of Torghast, too early too have a definitive opinion about it imo, I’m enjoying it so far.
With the new quests markers I feel like it’s not too hard to navigate the new zones once you start to get familiar with them, at first for sure they are a bit confusing, I guess I’m probably a bit biased because I already spent a few hours in each zone to farm plants. If you think traveling takes an eternity now go play Classic and you’ll see the difference, it’s on another level.
Dailies are dailies, nothing crazy, at least they always give over than 1k gold. Also they are optional
The Maw is completely optional, yes you travel on foot but come on, the longest it’s gonna take you with the current zone available to us is like a minute or two at best, it’s not that long.
All of this is optional, you can just do your renown if you want. Yeah you need a lot of anima but it’s obvious that we’ll get more and more overtime, it’s only the second week of the expansion.
I don’t think the game is boring or annoying, there’s a common theme in what I said and it’s optional, , if you feel that way then sure cancel your sub but try to be a bit more objective.
Nah. So far I have had a blast. Some stuff do bug me, I agree. But then again. No game is perfect.
Pretty much. I really had hope but it died a few days ago.
Torghast got borring pretty quick after the few first runs.
I was extremly excited for the story but from 4 factions 3 are in civil war. The Sojourner quests feel like such a bore. When I had hope to do the covenant campaign I now have to grind renown to experience it. And yeah, that might be easy to do, but this renown system reminds me too much of the power system from DAI, and I hated that one as well.
The Dungeons are nice but some mechanics, I feel, are there to be a nuisance. Maybe that mob that throws you off the platform becomes less challenging once you know what to do. But how long can you do the same dungeons until your are fed up with them?
Being able to craft your own legendaries sounds awesome, but you need to grind dungeons and other stuff to get memories for it. Sure that sounds reasonable, and I felt it so until, you have to grind Torghast to get Soul Ashes to be able to craft it and to upgrade it. Hell, for some memories you need to grind raids, but you can only do raids if you have the proper item level for them, so back to grinding.
I hate the Maw, in general I really dislike it. Maybe it’s the packed mobs or the lack of mounts? Maybe both, but the Eye of the Jailer for sure is a reason.
Making alts feel like a hassle to me. Sure it might be quick but I feel like it become extremly boring now
I think I got bored so easily because I was to hyped up for this expansion. The only fun left for me now is gathering flowers and selling them.

You usually get a bit bored with the expansions in a week or two, and then the real stuff starts.
In this case, mythic+ opens, normal and heroic raids, aswell as the PvP season starts next reset. That’s usually when the fun starts again, atleast for me.

Serioulsy, man, the WHOLE GAME is optional, but if you wanna get stuff done, you really can’t choose to avoid 80% of the contents.

If you don’t like the current state of WoW you can always sit this season out and come back next season when there are class changes. I don’t feel the same though but paladin has always been pretty much the same most of the time.

Its so annoying i cant switch to frost spec without going to switch conduits too.
Also I need entire different covenant for pvp, which i cant switch with any easy.
So badly designed.
Vanilla was very liked and it doesnt have any of this grindiness and borrowed power stuff.
