When bots create gold you get an inflation and your gold become worth less. Classic have a massive inflation. You see the effect of this on items that have limited supply and high demand. It’s not one bot run by some person. It’s a whole gold industry creating millions of gold on all realms. Most gold seller sites even display how much gold they have on the different realms.

Also VERY tired of bots, logging in at Black Lotus spawns or running them 24/7, farming all items and disrupting the economy. Yes players can farm them 24/7 too but in reality this doesn’t happen.
Can almost guarantee I will see at least 1 bot wherever I go. I think it is pathetic Blizzard have not addressed this in the 15 years of being in the game…
As a simple example, run a script that logs key presses or routes taken and anything that has a reasonable recurrence that differs from an average player tag them to have a GM watch them and/or message to see if any response.
Some are blatantly obvious and take about 30 seconds to witness their bot behavior and issue a permanent ban…
OR give players who have either reported an overwhelming amount of positive bot reports some additional powers to help the community be clean…
Endless amount of stuff on AH should make them cheaper for everyone, right? Giving your gold more value…

Try doing a /who stratholme
Then notice how many groups of 1 druid, 1 priest and 3 mages are in there. All unguilded.
There’s more than 1 group on every server I’ve checked on.
Not entirely… if they were ‘neutral’ sure, but they are there to make money, not help the economy by filling it with cheap items…
For example a bot may farm a lower pop server, competing with real players, then transfer those goods off - or hoard them and drive up prices by dominating the market.
It’s just not natural is the point of it. No one should be advocating or making up reasons why it doesn’t matter… sick.

Those rogue bots are hilarious.
They kill themself by attacking my aoe specced paladin. Pretty funny seing them die from their own attacks while i just afk.
