Hello. Yesterday, when I was questing in Stonetalon Mountains and trying to kill Elite Spider, I was encountered a guy. I was killed by this Elite and wanted to ask for help. I typed to him, but there was no answer. Ofc, he may be just ignored me. But he looked strange. Running from one spider to another, killing it, looting and moving to another with no afk. Tried to move the Eilte Spider to him, but he is just killed his current spider and moved to another. Can it be bot or something? Maybe he is farming Spider Silk with botting or just leveling, killing everything on his way. He has overgrown this spiders. I dunno, what to with such guys. What will you do, if you see a bot user?
does it matter? just report him and move on. if hes actually botting he will get banned.
edit: i suggest you remove that link immediately. naming and shaming is against tos and can get you banned yourself.
Okay, thanks. Just thought Blizzard solved the problems with bots many years ago.
You can’t be serious?
I mean… There are no words how ridicilous that sentence is.
They don’t even fix 15 year old bugs.
Maybe he just wanted to be left alone to kill his spiders in peace. And didn’t help cos you ran an elite spider over to him and he didn’t wanna die.
I just remember bots in MoP, BG was full of them. And the world. But when I played BFA about half a year ago, I haven’t noticed anything like this. But the world was empty enough though. I usually saw people when they got into the party. And BGs were better this time. Thought it’s not the problem anymore.
Because sharding BFA is always empty, there are bots still.
Now bots are actually sometimes even better than american players.
Mostly running older dungeons for money rather than bfa content.
Ah, I see. Thanks for pointing that out. So, it’s safe to report them, them, I suppose. Blizzard will ban only true botters and silent ignoring guys will be allright.
Haha, I was doing same yesterday, instead of spiders I was killing turtles, for Turtle Meat for Cooking. I was doing it in front of one Dwarf, who was staring at me, probably he was thinking the same thing like you.
report for racism
Maybe he was chinese and didn’t bother answering since neither of you understands. But probably a bot, so always hit that report.
Once I was questing in Desolace, rogue came to me asking something. I couldn’t see what it was because I’ve reported him for profanity a bit earlier (well deserved) when he spammed general chat with nonsense, which temporary ignores him.
Probably he thought I was a bot too.
I found this hunter in Winterspring with weird behaviour, and name like Jflqbnr or something.
