Kek, if you have this much money to throw at an idea then go for it, we’ll watch the trainwreck.
Stop worrying about minor issues lol. Blizzard do mass ban waves every few months and check every report but at the end of the day if the character in question is not botting or doing anything suspicious during the time they are investigated then the case is closed as you cant expect staff to keep checking on them every hour and also many players confuse normal players for bots just because they dont get a reply.
Nope, i’m working in the web industry since 15 years now and have followed several lawsuits where the TOS (always at least some part of it) of a shop or a game were invalidated or considered as abusive.
Don’t think the Terms that you accept can surpass any law or modify it.
Blizzard Entertainment is providing a paid service and need to deliver that service appropriately. Aka they can’t deliver a normal experience without fast or acceptable ingame support. If you are stuck on a bug, you have to wait 10 days (average) to get an answer from a GM as of today. This would be acceptable for an online shop, but not an online game.
Don’t think it’s only black or white, they don’t own all the rights, just look how the biggest companies gets literrally f**** every day by states & laws.
You know you’re not the first one to come with this?
Good luck.
“Web industries”
For all we care you could be making banners for web pages.
For people wondering why they “wait” months to do mass ban waves, well its quite simple it takes time for the anti-cheat team to actually detect the software so its not like they can click their fingers and have a list of accounts ready to ban. Just as the anti-cheat team puts months of effort into detecting these software the same goes for the software developers constantly improving their anti-detection measures.
All you can do is report them and if that isn’t working its most likely because they wasn’t botting during the time the staff member was observing them.
Well at least i’m trying to do something about it.
Yes, that is true.
But it’s pointless as Blizzard have not violated any laws or their own TOS.
Do you get it now?
Your lawsuit is based on end user violation, not Blizzard violation.
Blizzard decide what and how they deal with bots, they are breaking no laws nor agreements.
A lawsuit is gonna make blizzard lawyers giggle though, so at least you are spreading joy in these trying times.
@vwv its sad to see this kind of response but that’s what ive come to expect on these forums…mimics RL pretty well tho, its full of bystanders who just judge and point fingers and laugh from the sides as in our society…there is a problem and sadly no improvements will ever be done cuz every way u look at it its bad for the end goal of this corporation which is $$…only thing that i’ve found in my powers to do is to stop paying them money…
@Flock sad displaying of human character and skills (dont bother replying, im all done here)
Noone here is pointing fingers and laughing cause he wants to do something with a problem, people are doing it cause his suggestion is hilarious and has no root in reality.
If he came up with anything thats remotely sane, and realistic, people would be praising him.
But this is the only solution available: collecting as much evidence as you can to be able to put pressure on them.
You can’t go to a lawyer with nothing and hope to win easly. So that’s why i’m doing this, to collect as much data/proof as i can from as much different people as i can so i can build a decent case and show that Blizzard don’t provide enough support on classic servers and that it doesn’t reflect the experience they are selling.
To all the guys who said i can’t do st because it’s Blizzard, they have TOS and st tons of lawyers blabla, i would just answer one thing:
There are people that accept to watch their life going on, criticising everything around them while doing nothing for themselve or others, and there are people, that try to stand up, make a difference in their life or the others.
You may find it funny or childish as excepted, but when was the last time you really did try to make change on something that was bothering you ? Takes a lot of efforts, energy and courage to do it, it’s so much easy to laugh at others people that are doing it just to confort you in your own miserably worthless life.
If everyone would think like you, we would still live in caverns, in a world full of sheeps.
I’m done arguing, have fun losing more time on this.
I want you in my motivation department.
Sad display?
Pay attention and wake the F up!
He wants to file a lawsuit againts Blizzard for violations THE PLAYERS HAVE COMMITED. Jesus christ how stupid can one be.
Thats the reality.
Do you like to be blamed for something you didnt do? Should I start accuse you for whatever wrong my neighbour is doing and file lawsuits against you because of that?
I’m going to say this again:
You are blaming Blizzard for a “crime”/ vilolation that we the players, the community have commited and that Blizzard have not worked fast enough to prevent such crimes.
Now read that slowly, you might get it all.
This is the base of you accusations, this is your case in court.
Do you also file lawsuits againts the Police because the criminals in the world are doing crimes?
Of course not, but you can definitely file a lawsuit against the police if you think they didn’t act/react like they should or didn’t do anything that was in their powers to fight theses crimes.
For example, if someone kills your son in front of a police car and the killer run away while the police was staying here watching and doing nothing. What would you do?
Again, the lawsuit is against Blizzard not providing a decent/appropriate support that is having a big impact on the gaming experience they are selling for classic.
Blizzard politcs is bazooka style, wait until more aliens will come to the surface and bam!
Players want laser politics! zap each alien that pops up botting in the world asap!
Again, read the damn TOS.
License Limitations. Blizzard may suspend or revoke your license to use the Platform, or parts, components and/or single features thereof, if you violate, or assist others in violating, the license limitations set forth below. You agree that you will not, in whole or in part or under any circumstances, do the following:
bots; i.e. any code and/or software, not expressly authorized by Blizzard, that allows the automated control of a Game, or any other feature of the Platform, e.g. the automated control of a character in a Game;
They are not forced to anything
Keyword: may
OP i am not sure what law you think Blizzard is breaking by allowing bots on their game.
That being said it is not a bad idea, if a lawsuit lead to some negative PR for blizzard then they may be forced to take action.
But i think it could be costly writing one as you’d need to pay a lawyer knowing youll never get any money.
alot of average people also bots for farming for themselves not for selling gold, thats why i guess.
This is by far the dumbest thing I have ever seen on these forums and these forums are filled with a lot of dumb stuff.
