Tired about non actions to solve pandemic bot problem in wow classic

Classic it is the only thing it saving me to uninstall blizzard client from recently last events. Can you show some care for your games?

These are some screenshots showing the worrying number of accounts are being used for boting. In azshara (where I most report because herbing) it is normal see hunters and rogues doing the same for hours. https[:]//imgur[.]com/a/RQZLCvU

I am a professional cybersecurity analist and I can not understand how this is happening in 2020. With all the machine data you can have, detecting this had to be easy af. They literally do the same again and again without trying to obscuring their behaviour… and you literally have parses already done for what I suspect it is ELK stack from warcraftlogs. But whatever, you are an inmense company who have resources for having SOCs with Splunk, so money is not the problem.

As a company you need to be ashamed for not caring enough for your games and the inquestionable premise that you only care for the profits.

I would try to make this as viral as possible.

Well, you kinda mentioned the cause already. The reason there are bots everywhere in Classic is because Blizzard makes money of them. Had the bots somehow used accounts that weren’t paid for, they would’ve been shut down long ago.

Every bot running around is another subscription for Blizzard. I’ve stopped reporting bots because i know Blizzard doesnt give a damn about any of it.

Instead i’ve started abusing the bots while leveling. I follow them around, wait for them to finish their Pyroblast cast on a mob, then tag the mob with Fireblast before they hit it. They are stupid enough to keep attacking so they kill the mob for me. I just follow it around to get free xp/loot. I get free stuff, the bot gets screwed, so its a win-win situation for everyone.
