I’m kinda starting to lose my patience, I got one the first day in an expedition’s pack, since then I’ve killed over 60 rares, dug 300 dirts and over 100 more packs, can’t get a second one.
It would be nice if they clarified the drop rate or if it’s weekly locked or something.
Well some say its like legion legendaries. Which was basicaly quickly gets one and then theres hidden gfy system that prevents you from getting another one for some time.
Well not exactly preventing…but the chances get significantly reeuced and slowly gets up as the time goes on till you get another one and again.
Welcome to the World of Gambling!
Even at 50%, one in a million is all nope out of 20 rolls. Lower the chance, up the rolls, same result with a different distribution, like the 1% mounts. I won the lottery, I am special, adore me.
Enjoy being at the edge of the bell curve, you can feel special.
yea its a good question , i dont even know if you can get more like i already got my 5th one from the quest itself that gave me the achievement and i dont know if i can get more or its just an alt thing , have done multiple group content such as m+ and raid still nothing
overall another garbage system that seem to operate base on rng . a typical blizzard favorite leave things to the dice .
But we’ve had 5 already. Whilst I can imagine Min/Maxers wanting to gather as many as possible in the first week or 2. Anyone with that kind of need would have geared up nicely by now.
Loot tables aren’t really that big, even if you take M+ into account. Some stat combos are unavailable aside from crafting.
But who needs what doesn’t matter really. The system is bad. It was tried, it was bad and it was changed late in Legion. I got 0 after ~300 dirts, ~50 packs, 10 M+, around 20 LFR bosses, 13 normal, 7 heroic, countless rares and chests on top of that. On a few characters ofc, but mainly on one being in my focus. How is this system ok if someone else got two on an alt and now has 6 sparks and 0 primal chaos to make use of them?
Bad design should be discussed and panned until this info reaches someone in the company with some common sense and power to make it work.
Let me get it straight. My character lacks a decent 2h weapon to do proper damage which prevents it from doing higher-level content. Obviously, it isn’t dropping in M+ at the level which makes it an upgrade nor I have the valor to make it so even if it ever dropped. Stats aside.
So I should play less, eventually being replaced to get the drop and play less because now I have no one to play with anymore? Makes no sense.
DF made a statement that RNG is a bad way to do things. Warforging, personal loot, weekly chest - were either ditched or redesigned. Someone took Legion design too broadly, assuming that better than WoD, BFA or SL means flawless.
Trying to make personal remarks about me or people I play with to defend a flawed system isn’t a way to discuss it in a civilized way.
I played SL enough to reach the same conclusion almost everyone else did - Blizzard included.
And again - what difference does it make what I crafted and how many M+ I did before if since Wednesday I played 5x more than Tom and got 0 essences and he got 2 without even trying or needing it?
This is a rhetorical question, obviously. No need to continue this, since all you’re trying to do is discredit me instead of my points.
I’m not making a personal remark towards you. I’m just pointing out a reality.
RNG working against you doesn’t make the system bad. RNG has been part of WoW forever. It is what drives the game.
Whilst I appreciate it can be frustrating when a certain item doesn’t drop for you. I have been there many times when I have been progressing through end game.
But getting upset and frustrated because it doesn’t drop isn’t by any means the fault of the game. The game plays fine.
If you have spent all 5 of your essences, and STILL need a weapon, that is not poor game design.
I still have no less and 2 essences left on any of my characters. But I’m notMin/Maxing my stats looking for that extra 0.001% DPS (or healing in my case).
You need to come out of your little bubble, not everyone can raid so the essences are a good alternative to gearing.
I’m fury war who do only M+, guess how many sparks I need to craft both weapons? 4
I was finally able to craft one this week with the spark from the quest and the one I looted, now I got a belt I wanna replace, I’ve wasted literally 7 hours flying around trying to get a bottled essence and I can’t find one, there’s literally nothing that tells me it’s weekly locked or something so how should I know?
