I don’t raid either.
But there are other ways to gear up.
Such as Primal Storms, which is arguably quicker than waiting for Sparks to drop.
What ilvl are you on rn ? When u dont raid yet u claim there is no use for more essences ? Im fairly decent geared myself and still need like 2-3 more
That’s 385 gear, I need 418 gear, there’s no alternative for me except the vault.
What do you need 418 for World Content? Or do you mean that you’re doing M+?
Well, then I’ll point this out again:
First of all, u cant get 418 without doing m+/raid so that question is totaly pointless.
Also, how so all of sudden there are people doing WQ that “dont need gear”? For years people demanded higher ilvl for WQs and what not to feel rewarded, even tho it was not “needed” .
Sorry, I assumed when OP said he didn’t raid he meant he didn’t do any instanced content. So wanted to confirm.

The Statement that Blizzard has pre-determined the drop rates to make it more of a Weekly Progression rather than a how many hours you put into it progression?
Because that statements not wrong.
Sure people have probably farmed up more of them. But at the end of the day, if you are that desperate for them and it’s possible to them at a minuscule drop rate, then Good luck and have fun. Because if you want to be the best at the game, you have to work for it.
But the reality is, if you’re doing M+ anyway, and you need them for M+, then you’re going to be getting drops from the dungeons which you can Rank up to 415 anyway.
Anything else you can get from the Weekly vault. If that doesn’t work for you, that’s not the games problem.
This is the statement that i talk about whole convo, thats why u asked at begining whats your ilvl that u find them useles .
Now we have moved and discovered u do just world content and thus you dont need them, thats not the case for most people tho.
U need quite a lot of valor to get them to 415, and as u may know, valor is caped so yea, having more essnce = less valor required.
And then, later , u want every piece to be either crafted or from weekly vault ( apart from trinkets and sets , some ring too) because those +3 ilvl on half of gear will make difference .
So yea, people need them, and will need them later , even if the upgrade is small its still upgrade , which makes them far from useles.
I don’t like this RNG way of getting more bottled essence.
I’d prefer if there was a deterministic way.

whilst I definitely agree Weekly valour should be 1000-1250 rather than 750. It will eventually become uncapped.
Of course they make a difference. Not much of a difference individually, but if you can rank your gear from 415 to 418 overnight, that’ll me a huge difference.

Yes, but you don’t need to have everything all at once. Because what will happen you’ll be max level in 24hours and then you won’t be able to progress anymore.
The weekly gear cap helps you to progress further on a weekly basis.
Literaly the first thing i asked was whats your ilvl when u think they are useles, i guess thats gives enough info about what exactly im asking about but i guess not …

But thats why people farm them , we all know that each week we gona get upgrade( well not anymore for a lot of people), and everyone is/was geting that upgrade equaly based on what content they did . Now with uncaped essences those who want to put in extra efort can get ahead from those that wont farm them endlesly .
Agree one every two weeks was fine, even if they felt it was too many drop it to one every three/four now but this rng element does nothing but frustrate (as well can see with this post - though I think it is only 4 days in and wasn’t really needed yet. )

I need concentrated infusions more than essences. But I don’t think I need anything else crafted.

And I’ll point this out again:
Well I think considering people are reporting multiple drops, that it’s just a rare drop.
Like with Dragonshards, they seem to be once a week, but then once I had 3 in ten minutes.
rare is rare. I would rely on them dropping. But enjoy when they do.
Over 40x keys 15-20, 2x normal and heroic raid. And quite a few hours spent farming open world treasures and rare. Still haven’t seen a bottled essence on either chara, doubt there’s bad luck protection and it’s just pure luck with super low chance.
It might seem that way but it is far from the truth. Because it uses the same chance as the legion legendaries the way it works is that you start off with really low % and it increases the more things you do. Blizzard said that it would be almost the same chance as getting one every couple weeks with casual play.
Having played through that system in legion the one thing I would advice is:
Ignore it.
Really, chasing it does nothing but frustrates you. At the end of the day we all got the last spark this week, and if you play, you will 100% get a spark until the week after the next. Just think of it like a bi weekly quest and you will not get disapointed.
