BRD runs - Why 60 only?

Title says it all, its always been that after lvl 55 you make groups for the high level dungeons - now, people want you to be 60. Mad!
Why is this? i watched someone spam for a DPS for 25 mins earlier after saying 56 was too low. Now, the DPS loss of taking a 56 over a 60 would NOT have made the run 25 min longer. Share opinions!
OFC some of you are going to say WELL I HAVE NO TROUBLE ON MY SERVER GIT GUD. OK mate. GZ

False economy of time, also agro distance and such forth, there is also a massive power creep at 60, huge difference even between a fresh 60 and a half prebis geared 60…
Plus people seem to think there’s just a plethora of T2 Geared players wanting to do dungeons still.

Thats last bit rings truest, to me. Madness

why dont you make own group then ?

I could, thats not what im talking about though. Im talking about the trend for expecting 60s in PuGs

People are bored of graveyard runs because of low level aggro, and a lower level will be expecting a clear for exp, whereas a full group of 60s would rather skip what they can. Just make your own group like Deniska said, and when you reach 60, make a group of low levels if that’s what you desire

yes, pulling 6 more extra packs is 12-15 extra minutes.
Lf blue lvl 60 dps instead of 56 can most often take extra 30 mins.
People dont know math basics

By the definition

Generation Z have used digital technology since a young age and are comfortable with the Internet and social media, but are not necessarily digitally literate.

No idea I personally dont care if they are 55 or 60 only difference is aggro range and dmg/healing prolly being lower. Rather take a lowby over not finding anyone else for an hour.

As long as a player don’t over aggro mobs from the other side of the room or don’t have to fight red mobs it’s fine by me.
With that being said I take in my party low level players or ungeared that are newbies or straight up noobs to help them out. Yeah some extra packs might need clearing yeah some parts will be harder but hey if we don’t help people irl we might at least help in game.
And that’s what this game is all about for many players. I just repay the help others offered me.
That’s why I hate min maxers so f much.

Now if someone is doing multi runs for farming Hoj or something similar, yeah, it makes perfect sense to look for 60s with decent gear too.

And then there is the question of “that item rez’ed”. If you and your 2 friends are farming for the same item it’s common sense to put “rez’ed” on it for the other 2. But now you see 3-4 items reserved and in pug party. Okay no1 is forcing you to join that group but this makes dungeons groups more hard to find. So now people are coming and go “ninja” on the reserved item.
This varies server by server but it’s on every one to some extent.

because 60s are way more powerful and convenient by far especially if you have pvp or raid gear

don’t have the problems and do more way more dps, heals, damage mitigation etc
even less aggro range for body pulling extra packs and even more chance of being better players and such

For me it’s mostly the aggro range. Even if you were mostly ungeared I wouldn’t care - as long as you’re 60. Conversely, even if you were geared, being lower than 60 would mean that, as a tank, I couldn’t be sure of what we can or can’t skip just by walking personally near/past a certain pack (or going by memory). With all the lvl 60s it’s possible to pool from (especially when it comes to DPS) it’s understandable that people would rather avoid the inconvenience associated with a sub lvl 60 char.

As a very immediate example that happened to me recently, several pulls in LBRS aren’t skippable if you have a non-lvl-60 character in the party.

Loving the constructive and clear feedback, getting a real good feel for other peoples viewpoints. Thats a part of the game!
Nice one, folks

I know how you feel dude.
This was a thing at start of the game aswell.
Sometimes, it could be a ”polite” way from someone that doesnt want you in because you might be competition for some key items.

I suggest you make group runs and if 60’s whisper tell them you clearing jail side first then you know they not showing up just for arena or anger.

Also depends on the run you are doing.
If you are trying lava runs, you probably want people 58+ to avoid pulling destroyers on the way, too many dwarves in the dwarf room and make your life easier with the emp.

For outer runs (Inquisitor, Arena, anger, bael) 53+ is good. For stuff past golem 56.

Ive also been told x lvl is toolow for y dungeon while thats just an excuse for making some selfmade speedrunish run. Anyeays, thesedays with so much boosting bs, making a group of 3 into full one seems to take less time.

I levelled a feral during the boosting era and I was happy to have quite anyone to join group as long as I felt theyd not be a complete carry. And Ive found many of them enjoying the levelling like I did, much fun and laughs, not the silent performing ending ”ty bb”

If this brd one was ”arena-anger-golem” farm then I can understand, they want quick, flawless repeative action.

Back when I was doing dungeons the reason to require a 60 was to be able to skip as many packs as possible while minimizing the chance of asspulls. It’s fully possible to do dungeons like BRD, Strat, Scholo, etc with people from about lvl56ish, the first generation of lvl60s did just that. At 56, I’d say you’re 1 level too low as DPS to do a full clear because the last boss is lvl59, and that means you get a lot of glancing blows/misses/resists vs. that boss.

In the end, the person who forms the run decides the rules. It’s one of those things a lot of people seem to struggle with understanding about this game, you are free to play as you like, but you can’t force people to include you if how you like to play is detrimental to their outcome.

You have seen it once in the /LFG chat and call it a trend or have you really done the research? xD

Nobodys forcing anyone, sternly worded reply is completely out of place.

Well you can get back in the sea, tbh.
Why are you here? What are you commenting like that for?

So heres the thing if your struggling to find a group that requires level 60s then you should just make your own because your not the only one who isn’t level 60 hoping to find a brd run.

Its easy to blame people recruiting others for their desired requirements but there is absolutely nothing stopping you from forming your own group.
