Bring back faction balance

Like this post if you wish blizzard should do something about the faction balance on cata classic. Cata actually has amazing world pvp potential and its such a shame that we wont get to experience it.

Nah, stacked servers are way better for all. There was no world pvp in cata either, just some high levels ganking low levels like always

yeah the potential is def when u can just avoid all the pvp with flying mounts

Tell that to the Defias Brotherhood server

Agree, world PvP was actually popping on cata back in the day. Atleast if you were on a good server

My friends and I 110% agree with this. Players were speculating on forums that this was because of new expansions such a Dragonflight coming out, and same with SoD, but after 2 years the problem seems to still be here. We have been playing Wotlk for 2 years now and taking some breaks to play SoD, and its extremely sad to see the world being so dead. Can even run through STV and there’s absolutely no risk of facing someone from the opposite faction, and the same to be said anywhere else in the world… I think the thrill we had when we played Wotlk and Cata, and other expansions too is the Wpvp and world feeling so alive. Such a shame.

Should just merge all pvp servers into one big pvp server and force people to pvp. Else you should just go play on a pve server if you cant handle the pvp

No, They shouldnt.
Go to SOD.

if people wanted to engage in world pvp they wouldn’t have mass transfered to create all the one sided servers.

Amazing potential to be 100-0 by someone 20+ levels above you from the sky, who will be on flight mount when you will go to get your main. Now anywhere in the old world as well. Add here amazing LFD tool that teleports everyone around. wPvP is just a gank fest. Never was balanced and never will be.

Then it’s amazing for you that you can go straight to a PvE server!

No, I play on Flamegor PvP with at least 38:62 slight disbalance in favour of our enemy faction. You can enjoy your stay on monofactional realm your faction created by trying to dominate minority faction till the end.

played ally on firemaw since the start and alliance was minority there untill late TBC  If you dont like world PvP why are you on a PvP server?

I think active players made it very clear that they don’t want faction balance on servers.

All the low levels in the non-flying zones of the Tol Barad Peninsula and Molten Front.

Ravenholdt had some good wpvp as well. Problem was that many wpvp guilds moved to Defias Brotherhood halfway through the expansion. However, the concept of “world pvp guilds” was alive and well, and the server forums back then saw a lot of activity with games such as the “bounty hunter”-game. It wasn’t Tarren Mill vs. Southshore, but… I tire of Tarren Mill and Southshore. WoW has never done the grand battles well, it’s just a laggy spam fiesta. Smaller skirmishes were always more fun.

I like PvP, but not the way it is handled in WoW. Take another Blizzard’s game as example - Heroes of the Storm. Everything is skill based and depends on team effort. Played it from 2015 till 2019 ranked around plat 3-1. wPvP is just contrary with everything desided by numbers advantage in level, team members or ilvl difference. This is why RBGs and arena on near top brackets are fine, but on lower brackets just a hot mess of outdated design. However as Wrath Classic had proven top tier PvP is ruined again by cheaters using 3rd party screen scanners and auto clickers that detect WA sending visial marks like objects of certain color in certain area of the screen. This results in split second spell reflect activations e.t.c. No PvP in WoW is beyond repair.

All rolled an alliance but they said Horde are not playing era/sod because of the racials lol

People mass transfered??? Not true… 50% mass transfered. The other 50% (included me) quit the game because of this move.

I think you should go with them to a PvE realm.

Thats just not true, this was already happening at the end of classic Vanilla and continued increasingly through TBC and WotLK, During TBC and WotLK there was an increase of players reaching the highest peaks during the Kara and Nax period, player numbers dropped during both expansions over time but never significantly lower than during Classic Vanilla. Player numbers reached the highest numbers by far during the Nax period in WotLK when the segregation of Alliance and Horde was already firmly in place. I looked at the data available on Ironforge, not 100% accurate but it’s the best stats that are available.
