Bring back footstep noise

Title says it all, just noticed this from playing some classic, it adds much immersion, retail is like your char is weightless, feels bad.
I know Blizz won’t read this, but perhaps others feel the same?

There is an addon called oldgunsounds, if you miss that much.

Some clip-clop clip-clop clip-clop sounds for hooved races would be indeed nice…

There’s sound when you run though?

Draenei sounds different than a troll or other races that aren’t hooved when running though? Or am I imagining things?

They did nerf a lot of sound effects. I’m not a fan either.

The footsteps are still there (not sure if changed except for volume), it’s just tied to other noises in the sound settings so… :neutral_face:

I wish they would bring back the footstep noise of Devilsaurs in Classic, the pets have no footstep noise. I know originally it was obnoxious but honestly I found it hilarious.

Yes, I just logged in to be sure… Tauren have a different sound than normal footsteps, but even if you mute music, turn the ambience all the way down and the sound volume to max it’s so silent.

Every Tauren have a little rogue in them and every Draenei have Rangari traning… :no_mouth:

I put the ambient noise up to max, but still couldn’t hear them, maybe the terain matters or it’s so quiet I couldn’t even hear it

I only checked on a few spots in Org, I think it probably doesn’t differentiate between terrains, didn’t try snow

Try these settings https://imgur.com/zyEmCjL and crank up your headphones/amps… but it’s still absolutely ridiculously low, I agree. Weird choice by Blizz imo.
