Bring back multiboxing (only on seperate servers/realm)

I get it: people didnt like to see multiboxers steal their herbs and you werent interested in playing with anyone that multiboxed, etc. Newsflash: multiboxers didnt want to play with you either. Its a shame that botters ruined it and Blizzard banned the use of the multiboxing tools that made it fun to play.

Lets find a solution, so that people who enjoy it, can continue to multibox, while the players who hates it, continue to never see one?

Added bonus: more income for Blizzard? (though i have no idea how many subscriptions they lost after they implemented the “ban” changes).

How about:

Bring back multiboxing, with full capabilities as we had before, but only on one or two locked seperate realms. These realms are purely for multiboxers.

Subscriptions have to be payed with IRL money.

You can freely transfere characters to the locked realm, but never from it.

You can not transfere any items or gold (or guildbanks) to and from the locked realms.

The ability to buy wow token is limited to 1 time per account per month, on the locked realms (not everyone is savy enough to use the AH and/or want to farm a lot, and having the ability to buy atleast one token, helps with repair bills and so on).

You can buy mounts, pets etc on the wow store as usual, but you can not use or convert battlenet balance and use those while on the locked realms.

To not make achievements exploitable: disable arena, pvp and battlegrounds.

Achievements earned while on the locked realms, will not be shared with the “live game”.
(eh… well, might as well consider it, so that you have to create a new wow account for each game and those accounts are “multiboxer realm only” = achievements wont affect the “live game”.

Regarding herbing and mining:
feel free to either remove those from the locked realms, or make it so that only one herb/node can be picked up (and not multiples at the same time: limit it to only be picked up by one character).

*if i missed anything that can make a unfair advantage VS the live game, feel free to add them.

*if someone could mention these suggestions on the wow community pages, it would be extra awesome, thanks.

Cheers.

(currently ,the last year, my money has been going to FF14online, multiboxing 4 accounts there, but would love to play on locked wow realms instead).

How about no?

We’ve already had the solution implemented.

i would love to see Blizzard figure out somehow how many players would be interested in playing on said locked servers/realms… to figure out if its worth their time and effort to set them up and keep up maintanance. It might need some employees aswell, since it bacially will be “its own separate game, like wow classic”.

Ofcourse if it isnt worth it at all, then fair play, i will consider the “dream of returning” lost.

Some official feedback would be appriciated.

On EU forums? On a petty topic? You can dream on.

just make a private server…problem solved

but…you can still multi box. its still allowed, you just cant have automated keystrokes.

i dont think a server only for multiboxers would work. i mean, yeah you can farm all the stuff and whatnot but…who will you sell it to when everyone generates an enormous surplus? multiboxers/botters are pretty much dependant on people who dont multibox/bot to buy their stuff, hence why i dont think it would work.

well, it wouldnt work in any way as what is a multiscum going to buy from another multiscum. The only use for this would be for multiscum to develop new ways to cheat the system and do you honestly think wow want that?

The idea of multiscum is to get more loot per keystroke than non-cheaters so what on earth would you want a private server to get more loot to do nothing with … unless you have an ulterior motive to wanting people to not constantly report you for cheating, that happens on retail servers.

Even Twinking has more merit and value than Multiboxing does.

Multiboxing only takes. It adds nothing, in any way, to the game, for anybody who is not the multiboxer.

There was never any automation (well, in your eyes, it probably counted as it was, but in Blizzard eyes it wasnt, untill they caved in and did the changes, due to botters… (not legit multiboxers!). There was always “one button press = one action” (ofcourse botters didnt care about this and created full blown automation using other different softwares).

And i could care less about having masses of gold or items. They could create a cap for all i care, make it so that we could atleast save up for and buy any of the most expensive vendor mounts. Hell, make gold trades between accounts impossible on the locked realms.

I just want to relax, have fun, have some challenging times and enjoy doing quests, dailies, dungeons and raids on my own (as pri 1), without having to rely on other people. Ofcourse if i wanted, i could try team up with other multiboxers, for a certain raid etc).

And no, multiboxing with the new resticted rules they implemented over a year ago is out of the question: why do you think i stopped.

For reference i multiboxed wow for around 10 years, or thereabouts, doing all content on my own and also did mythic 20man raids (with 20 characters) on my own.

Anyway: i resubscribed for only this month to gain access to these forums. Ive now said what i wanted, so im out of here again (to continue to play, im sad to say, other non Blizzard games).

I got money to burn (atleast 20 subs per month), but Blizzard doesnt want them. Time will tell, i guess.

How about you read the OP?

You too completely missed out the OP.

And you two are reported for behaving completely inappropriate.

seperate then rewards also, so just multiboxer servers can see anchy and rewards.

multiboxing is about playing the game the way it was meant to be played, in a group of characters controlled by one person, rather than a characters controlled by individual people. buying stuff with gold is certainly part of the game, but there’s so much more to it than that as you are no doubt aware.

So the game is meant to be played by buying 10 accounts and software to control them, only to pick up pretty flowers thinking that you achieved something?

yeah i d need proof on that. link me an official blue comment or anything else blizzard related which states that this is how the game is supposed to be played, otherwise its just your opinion.

The game is designed to be easier for groups of characters, I don’t think it’s necessary to link a blue post or official statement to prove this, I think that anyone who has played the game for a while will realise this for themselves.

yeah…that isnt proof at all. just because the game has group content does not mean that its designed for multi boxers.

Find friends!
Problem solved

Yes but you aren’t meant to control all of those characters.

It’s a MULTIPLAYER game. Says so in the literal description.

Do you know what that term means?

it’s not designed for multiboxers. however multiboxing is a way to play the game the way it was meant to be played.

This is certainly a good idea. But can be time consuming and mildly perilous. Multiboxing is more straightforward, and you can do it at your own pace.

The game continues to be a multiplayer game even when you are multiboxing. Other players can play with just one character and if they feel like it they can multibox too.

With regards to how many characters you control, I would have thought that’s down to individual judgement. Though it does seem as though the developers want people to encourage friends to play with them, rather than playing with strangers or playing with themselves.

A welcome compromise would be to have some ai controlled companions, like the bodyguards in warlords of dreanor, but more powerful, customisable and controllable.
