Everyone know High Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind killed Nathanos Blightcaller and now the question do you think Sylvanas Windrunner would bring him back by ressing or something like that? I dont think Nathanos Blightcaller can die so he will always come back like Terminator. I expect new story about them!
Sylvanas is dead as a character and so is Nathanos who is nothing but her “Yes, my lady” boy. They ruined her character starting in BFA, made her a WoW version of H*itler but without bearing any consequences for her genocide Scourge tactics.
By Shadowlands she was hated by majority of playerbase. To add insult to injury, instead of bringing this irredeemable character to justice by having her killed, they gave her redemption.
Shadowlands saw the largest permament loss of playerbase in WoW and her character was a major contributor to this. If Blizzard feels like they didn’t lose enough players in SL, sure go ahead, bring her back and put her against in the center of the plot, where her pet Nathanos solo kills Xal’atath & Iridikron combined, while Sylvanas defeats and enslaves all the Void Lords and then starts another war against Alliance, which she will win this time, because there will be no players left in WoW by that time except for her fanboyz.
Yes Nathanos deserved better. Bring Back the gigachad.
Nathanos’ soul went to the Maw after Tyrande killed him, like all souls did after the breaking of the second Arbiter. Lady Sylvanas is in the Maw and will remain there until the plot demands it . if the plot demands it she will find Nathanos in the Maw
He was the best of us and deserves a second try at unlife.
If that’s the best the Horde has to offer then you must be really into trash. He’s basically Minthara, if Minthara would be awfully written.
You know, its Erevien?
He has Very low standarts., for him the End of the Final season of Game of thrones was a masterpice
To topic: just no, most people dont want him and Bringing him back would just make the concept of death and the whole Shadowlands ridiculous if suddenly person X suddenly comes back, it devalues death, and therefore consequences.
He was a true gigachad.
he is undead. He was already resurrected once before. Death was never absoloute in the world of warcraft.
Then you coud bring EVERBODY or ever Impiortant Figur back who currently sit in the Shadowlans, which make the concept of death irrelevant when you bring peoplce endlessly back…
“Oh no, i died- anyways- i go back to the lving because i can”
it surley isn’t Thrall or Baine they are useless and traitors.
Isn’t it already? We are pals with the god of the underworld, so to speak, and there are still established ways for mortals to go and visit the Shadowlands, most recently used when we fetched Ysera from Ardenweald for very important reasons too complex for me to explain. Not to mention that “undeath” seems pretty alive nowadays, with the downsides seeming pretty mild now. And then there is the multiverse, that could certainly be used to bring characters frpm other timelines over. Just yesterday I killed Varian, leader of the Grand Alliance, once again. Oh yes, it was just a stupid event, but the option is lore.
So… is “dead” really more than “benched until further notice”? It certainly doesn’t feel like it to me.
Of course they aren’t just using that crap on just anyone. But they could. Death will only ever matter when they want it to matter, and only as long as they want it to matter. You’ll get your cues. When the music is sad, be sad, when it is triumphant, be hyped. That sort of stuff.
That’s the point of necromancy mate.
Well, I want Vol’jin back
Personally, I prefer to not have Nathanos back. I have beef with his tone of voice, plus he has abysmal taste in women.
Isn’t Vol’Jin due for “reincarnation” as Loa of Kings? We’re not sure when of course but it’s heavily implied that we’ll see him again at some point.
Sure, you just have to keep in mind that “at some point” translates to “whenever we know what to do with him”. They made him Warchief without having a plan for him, they killed him off without planning for the auience reaction, when he was in the way, and they brought him back in Shadowlands because it seemed like people wanted that. I’d be very surprised, if they actually had long-term plans about what to do with him at the time.
I guess they could try to work him in with the new troll-elf-people in TWW or with some Amani plot in Midnight, but I wouldn’t bet on it, either.
Vol’jin died because Varian died. Alliance players complaints are always heard.
…yeah, you don’t need to be a genius to see that the development timeline and the following plot don’t really fit that assumption, but you do you.
During the beta it was reveiled that Vol’jin was missing and Varian was dead which resulted a huge complaint wave.
I’d argue that Vol’jin died because Blizzard wanted to make Sylvanas horde’s main character. Blizzard made it quite obvious by putting Sylvanas and not Voljin in Legion’s cinematic and also during Broken Shore campaign when Varian talks directly to Sylvanas as if she were in charge eventhough Voljin was still alive and not even wounded.
Alliance players would be much happier and frankly more interested to deal with an authentic Horde led by Vol’jin, instead of dealing with a dead elf ranger with the thickest and stupidiest plot armor who against all common sense was selected a warchief.
