Bring back old blitz queue times, please Blizzard

I see no point of new blitz matchmaking except 3x longer queues

But then people will complain about unfair matchmaking :sweat_smile:

This matchmaking is not any better.

You can still win games though.

You could before as well. This is about the three times the queue for a game to happen.

Don’t know what people want, they complained about previous issues, and they wanted an improvement, they update said “improvement” and people still complain :man_shrugging: Is there a context that I am missing? Sure, queues are longer, and it sucks but hey, even I can’t play devastation because nobody is playing on my MMR during the early day, so I can only play early evenings, and for me, game lobbies seem to be pretty balanced in terms of both team comps.

There is no improvement, just longer queue times. Far longer, even.

That’s what I meaaaaan. I can’t play a blitz during early noon / afternoon at my MMR as I am forced to play only early evening (post 17:30 pm and so on) but people will still complain about small, little irrelevant stuff.

I wanted to play 1 Blitz today on my main, around 19:00 CET. The finder said average queue time is 50 mins. I logged off

By little irrelevant stuff, you mean the matchmaker not working, and hour long queue time ?

No, Mws, prevokers, people blaming and insulting eachother, “mmr elo hell” “why i’m not pushing above 1.6 whilst having a horrid win rate” “the mmr is not working”

That irrelevant stuff.

MMR not working is the matchmaker being broken just so you know.
It’s not that irrelevant sadly

The people complained about unfair matchmaking due to imbalances, blizzard responded by adding a fairer system, people complain again, shame on them, deal with it lmao.

It is still not working properly apparently

Odd, I played a couple matches two days ago in the evening and have not encountered any issue in any game.
So what is it that people finding that isn’t working?

Matchmaker is matchmaking incorrectly, I don’t know what to tell you
I can give you an example, like when a Combattant I joins a rated game with a Duelist mmv, and vice versa.

Placements.

Course theres that, but your placement doesn’t just randomly fluctuates from 1400 to 3000 between matches

The matchmaker will pair you with whoever it’s online, it is therefore, giving the opportunity for that player to actually win, if it wins, the MMR will increase on his/her behalf and will kickstart the progression positively with less penalties. The more you win consecutively the higher your MMR will skyrocket. Now if that player starts losing, it will eventually place on it’s real level.

You’re describing how the matchmaker functions normally.
Problem is player reported playing a first match at lets say 1600mmv, winning said match, and being placed on a 1400mmv the next one.
It looked like the matchmaker wasn’t matchmaking properly.
