Bring back old Leveling

Decreasing level cap since BFA was a big mistake i guess , Mean if we had 130 Shadowland then 140 DF it would be great , mean leveling WOW is a beautiful part of the game thats why the most of people playing Classic these days ,Retail WOW is currently end-game focused no one cares about leveling ,exploring areas etc.
i guess bringing back old leveling will help the community a lot .

As much as I dislike having big level numbers. I have to say, getting to lvl 120 felt quite like an achievement as a new player back then in BfA.

I am not against a level squish like we had, but sadly Blizzard failed and making the enemy scaling better than it is now. Which kills the entire fun for some aspects of the game.

and what will it bring at the end, if you woud change to the old system, player will stll rush to the max level.
The player mentality changed, its not 2004 anmymore and the player must finaly learn that, times changes.

At the end its just a nummer thatt increas, same with the gs and the overall dmg, as MM hunter during SoO an aimed shot with avareage gear was 1 Million dmg already.
The sqish was to reduce it to a more suitable level that we not have in the next one mobs with multple billion Hp and gear that reach GS 90000…

after all the opener soud for me like the typical “retail is bad, classic is the only truth” kido.

Probably because levelling has always been mind numbing, boring and a waste of time.

I agree you VERY ! I like level up 140 and to reduce the level is like DisRespect on the long road our character travels this whole years gaining nothing but levels is permanant .

I think that scaling all zones to character level would do much more about exploring the world and keeping the world alive instead of having 140 level you zoom through only doing the first zone of each expac before overleveling it like it was back then.

3+ months to get new character to max level? No, thanks.

I agree - not everyone is interested in rushing and endgame. Many people like questing, exploring and levelling. Back in vanilla it took my friend and I about a year to get to level 60. There were 2 huge lands to explore and so many things to do. There was no reason to hurry as, at that stage, we didn’t know there would be expansions. I’d be very happy to be unsquished …

Old style levelling was much better than what we have now.

Only reason i haven’t gotten a second lvl 70. Was going to with the boosted gear from the caverns aaaaaaaand it was nerfed.

nothing wrong with a bit of grind i used to play a game where it would take months for one level

I wish we did not have lvl squish… i would prefer to just add to the lvls.
Lvling up could be made faster with giving heirlooms back their xp bonus…so ppl could choose if they wanted a fast Lvling or if they prefered to take it slow.
Bring back extra experience with tw dungeons and make them avalible as soon as you can usev the lfg tool…

A lot wrong with gatekeeping players from the end game, especially new players. It’s not 2006 when everyone was playing grindy asian mmorpg games, plus not everyone has time for it. These times passed, we are in 2023 and things are different now. If you want 3months leveling process, just turn off exp, you will have it.

Plus why gatekeep new players, when most of us already have 20-30-40 leveled up characters?

Leveling to max level is tutorial mode, to see specs, skills, nothing more. Game starts at max level.

Levelling is just dull. I’ve seen every quest, explored every nook and cranny. I have played every expansion from TBC onwards when it as current.

The first time it’s great, the second time is ok but after that it’s just plain meh.

So no thank you to painful slow long winded levelling.

For new players yes!
For me no! I did it enough times already.

I agree you and the great humanity, the memory of friendShip.

Well some people like faster / easier leveling.

But we could have both.
Let Chromie Time be the current scaling system where you can choose where to level.
But make leveling outside of Chromie more like it used to be.

Not sure how this would work exactly, it would either have to be really slow so you had to go through each expansion or they’d have to rework all the zones to have level ranges that worked.
