I just went to do second floor of lfr of Nerub got dc at end of fight was top 2 min to get back into game people kicked me when I get back so I cant roll get instant tp on graveyard all what i could roll in last sec was weapon and was gone from raid. Did not get currency , mailbox is empty is just toxic so much.
Make at least lfr personal loot since u cant have control over situation with random people you dont know since also no one use voice and cant say I got dc dont kick.
If I was asked I would make 2 options personal loot and grp so can be swap before enter in raid. This is not classic and we all know why at first place ml and grp loot at classic was bad choice. Im saved now for 2 wing last boss , so really cant go again and proper roll on items I had no chance in first try.
In whole of DF I think I got 3 pieces of loot in total in LFR otherwise just loosing rolls.
So yeah I agree with the personal loot back on this mode at least.
While I don’t agree with argumentation, I 100% support the premise. Group loot is unhealthy in LFR (it’s less healthy than even in LFG, with 5-man group ninja looting at least will be noted). It promotes unfair behavior, as you would almost never be caught up if you needed smth you didn’t need (to give to a guildy, to sell to another person in a raid, for transmog or just to disenchant), and even if you will, consequences will be minimal.
This makes pressing transmog button feel really bad, as even if nobody needs a piece of gear with such a big group it’s almost guaranteed that somebody will ninja it.
System which rewards unfair behavior and creates bad feeling for fair is not a good one.
The easiest implementation of personal loot - everybody always needs if they can. This won’t change the results significantly and you still will be able to give piece of gear to somebody who asks you and really needs it, but in this case you will feel good as a generous person who helped somebody, not bad as when you loose a roll you didn’t even have a chance to win.
It’s ok that they can win (maybe, nobody needs an item), it’s not ok that they can win over people who need it if they lie.
And “need” is too flexible of a term. I can claim that I really need 100g I can get from a vendor for this set chest you wanted so much. Technically getting loot is always beneficial in WoW, so everything is “needed”.
There is No More Important thing in wow then loot !
Every expansion since vanilla forums have been filled with loot-questions, guilds all over the world have ended with fights among people and split up raids more often then Trump hairspraying his hair …
I run every raidfinder and never win loot. I see people who really don´t need win.
I get mad, I get jeoulus, I getting sad and wanna behave like a little child and quit the game even though I´m old enough to have adult kids that I tell to behave better. haha
I would vote for having personal loot in raidfinder and shared lootsystem in rest.
Maybe some wanna claim I´m totally wrong here, that loot isn´t all this important.
Well, imagine remove all loot and give every player free max-loot then. Within a week-ish no one would play this game any more, cause without the hunt for personal gear-progression … the game would simply die. That is how important this question is, like it or not.
As far as loot goes, low-level bountiful delves (Tier 4 or 5) replace LfR right now, they’re way more rewarding, and less aggravating.
I was doing my LfR-run of the week, had the usual incidents, a boss that drops literally nothing i can even roll need on (Let alone win anything), people not knowing (Or ignoring) tactics at bloodbound horror, i just dropped the group, i can use my WoW time better than bothering with that nonsense, and i’m happy for it, TBH.
This afternoon i did Story-mode for the quest, so i’ve seen where the story goes, perfect!
No one really cares, if they need anything. They just click Need, 'cause they can. I tried to be fair and really only click Need if I needed something, but since the other players and blizzard don’t care, I won’t care either anymore. Super stupid system.
TBF, outside this / previous CD geared players should not need any loot from it anyway, as set bonus will be covered from vault/threads, so there will be no reason to go there, but for now it feels bad.
The current system is fine ( I got to roll on 10 items last night on my warrior, with personal loot you get nothing-nope-big phat 0-zilch-etc-etc) but needs a failsafe (my highest roll was 23 so I lost them all, talk about bad luck…).
I remember back in Legion there was a token that you farmed during the week from quests that let you roll 1 additional time on a boss of your choosing and that was personal loot. Maybe do that again ? Maybe make it 100% chance to get 1 item from that boss loot table ?
Right now, the system is waaay to much RNG. Also broken - it was letting me roll Need on a Intellect (or Agility, can’t remember but there was no Strength on it) 1H sword last night so wtf ? Almost clicked it thinking it was a 2-hander, but then I remembered the whole vault fiasco filled with 1H weapons for FURY warriors, so I checked and passed.
I agree with this, if story mode drops LFR loot, there’s no reason for LFR to exist anymore.
It seems perfect for the sort of people who love LFR to complete the story.
I went tonight on another char and seen how people biding for items before pull. Some friends reported me how people who dont need items need and then sell it so tonight i have chance to see that.
