Wouldn’t that be the same as Flasks for a combat bonus?
Some silly bonuses don’t make profession useful, also that’s a cheap and lazy way of pretending to make them useful. Oh people don’t like archeology? just slap a +300 primary stat on it, problem solved.
The fact that professions are in a bad state right now has nothing to do with the bonuses.
Well, after years of and countless posts of requesting them to be removed i feel vindicated 
No, anyone can use flasks, you don’t even need to have a profession to benefit from it.
I think we should remove it, since people are forced to use it for raids.
Remove potions too while we’re at it.

Implying anyone would ever count LFR as raiding.
That reason is so stupid. Even today I have seen raids where players say: “Wait, sum me back, I am going to buy gems and enchants”. So first, the reason for removing sockets was stupid to begin with and in the end their solution didn’t even work. F#cking Ion.

i hope in the future you have to buy / ask a jeweller to add a slot in socket in your armor and so you buy again gems in AH.
That will make jewelling interesting.

before continuing to complain, please go check the crafting professions in shadowlands
u will use stuff from several professions optionaly to craft gear, these optional reagenst can be gems so u can “choose” the crafted gear stats, more item lvl in case u just want to gear an alt
crafting gear is going to be very interesting and usefull to get bis stats in shadowlands
currently sockets mean a great deal more power than they were before.

I really really really miss coloured sockets.
Or at least guaranteed sockets.

I think it was fun back in TBC how you could optimise your toon. With gems and the sockets were baseline with the gear. Mechagon junkyard took me back a little farming punchcards for the trinket. Similar to farming heroics in TBC for the BIS gems. And yes I was quite shocked to see how blizzard have kind of thrown some professions under the bus.

This also killed jewelcrafting and gems are incredibly cheap now to buy.
I am doing a character for Herald of the Titans run and it’s so nice having a multitude of sockets and lots of stuff you can enchant/enhance.

If you cannot handle that, try solitaire.
