Gear doesn’t inherently have meaning, it’s a tool to make your character more powerful, whatever meaning you saw with your rose-tined glasses in it is just your projection. Still i’m patient, maybe we’ll have this discussion again after Shadowlands end, i’ll be there to say “i told you so”.

Been a long time since i got pleasure looting a armor piece.
Loot be loot is great.
In BFA it ruined my mind to get a item and tell " hey that a scam, because it’s not titanforged so you will be behind compared to other player. "
I farmed king rest soo much in hope to get a trinket titanforge ( that the whole BFA i never got it TF and looted only 1).
Now when i loot i feel like freedom and do not need to farm that item again. I got pleasure in that freedom and passing to the next item to farm.
I know, i was just point out why did blizz bother changing the original token system and have us go through all this gear problems when it worked fine.
When people felt the weren’t earning gear, they could buy it with the tokens, it didn’t feel RNG, you still had to work for it and gear still felt good to obtain. It worked for all sides.

Yeah, I have to say that I am happier now than I was with TF. It gives me a reason to both do heroics, base mythic dungeons, normal etc. I dont get to both skip vast swaths of content because I got lucky drops, and neither am I asked to be full mythic raid ilvl to do a +2 .
I really do prefer this. If anything though some are getting lucky on gearing in base mythic than others and judge peoples ability and dedication based on their own luck lol.
Yes allow me to get raid gear from doing hardly anything please

there was nothing wrong with TF if they would put in VP gear upgrades leeting you upgrade gear upp to maximum level
instead this we went to loot desing from 14 years ago - this simply cannot work in 2020 
we will see huge disaters happening to this game in january/february and then blizzard desperate attempts to salveage it around april / may 2021. but it will be way to late to save this expansion which will be forever remebered as WoD 2.0 made by blizzard beta developement team .

not getting anything in game after week of playing is even worse though .
escpecially if you know that that potential gear is locked behind timegate and will be aviable in game in around 2 months time once you get renown to enough level .
they are basickly telling players to unsub till february when they will be able to play game again in a way that will offer them gear progression
the vendors are already in game - you can check and see and estimate exackly when you will be able to gear up in that gear buyable for 100 anima
why bother to play now .

i agree with the TF being on a leash if it were to come back… it was unpredictable in the last state and with it being heavily capped will solve its problems.
