Swipers will still get their items by hiring Pug leaders to HR them or guilds.
I used to think GDKP was bad, but it is actually decent way to raid for those who do not want to commit to a raiding guild, which as some of you know can be like a job that you have to come on certain days and time. It also makes it easier to gear up alts. And even if you don’t win anything, you end up with gold that you can use later on to bid on items being it like raid points in guilds.
Another point is that afaik GDKPs are allowed in Korea and China.

Every1 that buys restedxp no doubt buys gold too so most people that have a higher level than the zone they’re leveling in very likely use restedxp ergo they buy gold too.
Thats the kind of mental gymnastics ppl go thru when they say everyone doing GDKP buys gold.

I hate gold buyers with a passion, and RestedXP isn’t on my fan list either, but I fail to see the connection between them.
The problem with GDKP is that it’s a fake promise.
Wording 1: It promises a reason for well geared people to help others get geared while getting a little gold back.
Yeah, no, try again.
Wording 2: It gives a reason for well geared people to keep raiding, being paid with plenty of gold in the process, so that they stay on top during the next tier, rinse and repeat.

As long as GDKP runs are open for all, no inspection it’s fair and square in a way.
As long as you need to hand over gold to enter, it’s an exclusive P2W business club.
Yes, I agree that people need motivation to stay, it used to be a thing in guilds 15 years ago that people would disappear as soon as they got nice items. At best they would join higher tier guilds, still helping the community at large (with said GMs very well aware of their motivations), at worst they won the game and uninstalled.
Its “free” until lvl 20 then you have to pay money to basicly unlock the rest? Call it a gray area or whatever but thats still RMT.
A lot of people claim that everyone doing GDKP are buying gold calling them swipers or just that they engage in RMT.
I just applied a similar logic to restedxp users - if they pay money aka engage in RMT by buying the post lvl20 “guide” then its likely they will buy gold as well.
Im not saying buying gold or GDKPs are ok.
Just pointing out the twisted logic of some people that call others swipers etc and accuse them of buying gold by simple virtue of running or participating in a GDKP.
Just look for gdkp communities in discord. They aren’t gone anywhere. People just don’t use ingame chat anymore. Fresh is not doing well and gonna die soon anyway.
I support this. I really enjoy raiding, but losing gear on a bad roll just sucks. Not much time to gear from each raid, and so that leaves us with 3 options imo:
- decrease raid lockout time
- increase loot from each boss
- allow gdkp
At least if i lose in a gdkp i come away with something…

No need to bring it back people simply do the bidding/auction in an external platform like discord and send the gold with an alt. They know Blizz won’t go that far to chase them down for it.
You want proof? Almost every lvl 60 Mage, Warrior and Rogue have 2+ T1 or even T2 set bonuses, epic mount, best enchants, etc. Yea sure, please tell me you farmed that several thousand gold worth of stuff legit

When i participated in GDKP raids i never bought gold, and never really thought about it tbh. Not sure why this would be targetted instead of the thousands of bots but it is what it is.
Yet you willingly participate in a system that is only that attractive due to the high pay outs which are solely financed by RMT. Smart cookie.

You can overpower the other people by gold, however this creates an arms race.

I agree that WoW loot system is outdated.
Random will never be entirely fair (respectful) and full BoP currency grind just feels tedious.
Personal loot with eventual crafting to fill the gaps is just perfect.
If you ask me Blizz at this point just throws the occasional bone of “hey we banned x thousand bot accounts” posts and doesn’t care as long as “their (money)numbers are in the green”.
The question of which is more hurting, the bots or GDKP is a good one, my bet is on the bots because they feed the gold for RMT too. This will become even worse when the Honor system gets released, as consumables, gear and epic mounts make a huge difference in vanila. (Skill matters more but we all know the distribution of it…)
Call me what you wish - I’m a former forum MVP (those green posters), and I’m also entitled to my opinion even if it contradicts yours 
Besides, I’ve seen little proof that there’s more RMT on realms with GDKP. On the fresh servers, gold buying is running rampant regardless. I’m against Blizzard dictating which ways people are allowed to distribute loot. Even if I’m not that big a fan of GDKP myself.

I think we should ask why do people care about RMT, GDKP, or we may attack a strawman.
Personally I couldn’t care less how top raiders organize themselves or whether Joe the Rich has skipped the mount grind and purchased his 100% saber with euros.
I also don’t care much about inflation as long as it’s universal. Quest gold is something, but if gathering professions reward slightly more gold, I’m okay with that. (That’s how I got rich by my standards in WLK when I started this very character.)
I don’t even care about BoE prices, I’ve never been able to afford a single one, so.
What I care about is accessing content:
- Gates to dungeons and raids - Expecting more gear than feasible
- Fewer dungeons and raids - Because people just GDKP instead (like how RDF made LFG disappear)
- Side effects of bot presence - Overpopulated world - Blizzard could just sell gold shamelessly
If gdkp gets allowed then it wont be any normal raids anymore.
But more to the point. There seem to already be 1 gdkp,rmt guild on the pvp server that have not been banned yet. (maybe blizzard dosent care)
You have to check around the name of it since not allowed to say guild or character names on forums. So just ask around on the pvp server and im sure you find it. If you really want to play that kind of raid.
