Even tho I despite RDF because I remember back in the days how it slowly killed the game, I will say this to you pro RDF people : It was implemented in 3.3.0 back then, when icecrown citadel came out, so nope, no RDF just yet, get over it

I mean sure, why not ? And there’s a big difference between a whole new system that pushes you to be a robot / farming andy with no soul and some small quality of life changes such as a faster cast speed on the mount and dual spec.

Same, except I quit in Cataclysm so I don’t have the weird bias ya’ll developed around RDF being the source of the game being bad, despite Blizzard launching bad expansion after bad expansion.

I’m really not trying to hate on anyone’s opinion, I respect yours, but come on, there’s some common sense in all of this. Btw I quit Cataclysm when they released LFR.
I’m really not bias, it’s just very obvious what system brought more negatives than positives.
I’m not saying RDF is the reason the game is bad overall, I’m just saying it definitely added fuel to the fire

You’re drifting away from the subject my dude ! And it’s really not that hard to analyse things from a neutral perspective, even tho I also have my own opinion. It was a subject of great anger for people back then
I mean we litterally already lived through it once so I don’t understand how people cannot see what has already be done before and still debate wether or not it’s good or bad when “history” already showed us. Especially if you played since Vanilla

This is exactly the kind of toxic content made me flee from the Retail forums and community. Hoped Classic would be different (and it was, for a time). But quoting Sylvanas… “Nothing lasts”.

As I said above, I would immensely enjoy the game that i’ve been given “as is” (as I’m doing now), without wasting time in sterile arguments like the RDF, and for the most part ignoring the toxic part of the community of the game, who only wants/knows to get into futile controversy, and centering on my own guild (who in the VAST majority are very like-minded) and gameplay.

Thankfully, most people I find and meet outside selected forums/subreddits/the-like are not concerned at all about the lack of RDF, so all it’s good.

i kinda both want this and don’t at the same time.
For one i see the argument of keeping the social interaction, but at the same time, when was the last time you guys actually spoke to people in-game when looking for a dungeon and not just opt in to use the lfg bulletin board addon?
Though if ppl remeber from back in the day, at max level this feature was a cesspool of dead runs.
What id like to see is this tool implemented but only for level 15-70 dungeons as these will be much harder to find groups for in wrath when you still have to run to them (GG getting a maraudon group going or LBRS).
Because at lvl 80 ppl will still run dungoens (HCs much more then we saw in tbc) as they will scale in difficulity for each phase of the game. And at the same time wrath HCs are not nearly as frustrating as TBCs. You no longer NEED 1 or more heavy CC classes to do them in a timley manor (hello boomie, ret pala, shadow priest, Fury/arms warrior, Rogue, you are defecto inferior to mage + lock combo and will struggle to find groups)

Polls on heated community sites and forums are worthless. Worse than worthless, they are misleading, as usually already biased or disgruntled people are the most active participants.

Blizzard did sent some random email surveys with questions about the game about a month or so before announcing Wrath Classic, I did receive one of them. And they asked about this same topic. And for what I’ve read, there were several waves and formats. The results, only they know, but believe me, Blizzard is not run by Devs. Are run by executives driven by money. Which leads us to…

Again, Blizzard is not run by Devs. Decission making on a big corporation is no ruled by “feelings” or “fears”. They are done first and foremost by projected profits and income. You can be 100% sure that if adding RDF would be a subscription soar as you put it and a financial success for Blizzard, they would immediately do so.
