From time to time i get this broken textures, i tried to turn off Addons and all, doesn’t seem to work.

This is driving me crazy, does anyone know what could be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same problem here. Stutters and corrupted textures. Restarting WoW fixes the textures but randomly reoccurs again after some time.
Sometimes days without and sometimes several times in an hour.
Im relieved im not the only one having the problem, i was afraid my GPU could be starting to kick the bucket.
So far it looks like it’s only occurring on wow, although I haven’t played any other games lately.

It started with the pre-patch… like all the other problems.
Driver version doesn’t make a difference.
RTX 2070S here btw.
Likewise, never had this kind of problems in wow before until the prepatch launch.
Thanks god i found this thread. I thought just as you guys that my GPU might be dying even though i don’t have any problems with any of the other games i’m playing. Btw a few hours ago Nvidia released a new drivers update. Hopefully it will fix the issues
I’ve also been having this problem for maybe 2 weeks? maybe more. Man I thought it was my card - I actually ordered a new graphics card, although not just because of this.
Lots of textures appear corrupt, closing and rebooting the game fixes it temporarily. Very ugly issue.
Yeah, i keep having this issue as well. 12700k and RTX3080 playing on 4k with most settings maxed (except for shadows). I also have raw textures flickering a bunch
If this is an ingame issue then Blizzard must fix it as soon as possible.
It’s game breaking for me, especially the fact that the only way to fix it is logging out and back in.

Turning off DX12 fixed the problem for me, looks like it’s a DX12 problem. Hardly a great fix though and Blizzard STILL it seems have not even recognised this as an issue, but it IS definitely an issue.
Believe me, I thought it was my 3070, especially when it wasn’t happening on my 6900XT but it isn’t. It’s the game. Don’t worry about your card being broke, it’s not

I would also like to bring attention to this matter.
I think it only happens in Dragonflight.
I started leveling a druid in Shadowlands and I haven’t encountered it yet.
I was afraid it was my gpu because of the current prices but thankfully it is not.
Then I updated my drivers but the problem persists, thing is it seems to be appearing randomly.
Except for the Dragon Isles it happens a bunch of times in Dalaran for me, thoug we all have been more in the new expansion lately than any other zone.
It started happening again. More and more parts of the world became corrupted.
Maybe it’s some void lord’s work and not a bug.

Looks like a piñata maybe even contains loot.
I thought the same, so i started beating him down, when he started bleeding i realized something wasn’t quite right, perhaps an illusion? What was he hiding?
Then the other centaur came and just kicked me out of Maruukai, it was pretty embarrassing.
Throwing my hat in the ring also. This started happening for me only 2 days ago. I’m almost certain the same time a windows update went through. What ever it is gets progressively worse over time, first I’ll notice it on a random info window then maybe a spot on the world map then in the world itself. I notice opening the world map over n over again also causes it to spread across the map.
Restarting wow fixes the problem for a time but once it starts again the cycle begins a new until almost all textures are corrupt.
From what I can gather, it is probably a compatibility problem between Windows and GPU-prioritization of data. Since the game loads the textures correctly after logging out and back in or on restarts, it must be a problem with the OS and Hardware communication.
If the game files were corrupt, it would still load corrupted textures all the time, no matter how often you restart the game.
Same problem also with stuttering and freezing problem
Never played this game as messy (quit after X.0 since Legion)
