Recently, very occasionally, WoW has been displaying a “corrupted” screen, where some in-game elements/textures appear made out of small ribbons, while most of the screen is absolutely fine.

I have Windows 10 fully updated, latest NVidia drivers, RTS 3070. I have not tried to change graphics settings as the problem does not happen that often.

Have you tryed to Unistall the game and Reinstall it?
Do you have those glitches in other games as well?
No, it is a big palaver to uninstall WoW and the glitch does not happen very often to justify the trouble.

Try clean install of month or two older drivers.
Have you deleted your cache folder?
Have you deleted your data folder in WoW, there could be a some corrupted textures. This would force redownloads of all wow versions data.
It’s three clicks, two to uninstall, one to install and a 5min wait while it downloads.

But this is a good idea - data (texture) files being corrupt. I thought WoW checks checksums etc ?
I think it might check program files but there’s 50+ GB of data files there. I’m not sure if there’s repair option, I’ve not had a need for it in WoW.
Swap to something other than dx12 and you’ll be fine

After playing with the settings I got the same issues, changed the settings back and havent seen it again. I was playing around with alwayssharpen etc. So if you changed anything in the graphics settings it could be something like that.
Don’t know if you guys are still experiencing similar gfx issues, I have had the same one, tried older driver versions etc. - no effect, finally changed the desktop resolution from 4K to Full HD and it’s gone now. Hope that will be of use to some of you. GLHF!
There are known issues with the latest nvidia driver.
I updated my driver and now my fps drops like hell, i used to be comfortable around raids or many people in one spot, now im my fps drops to 5 even 3…
