Is there a way to casually (I mean with only grinding some mobs in the world) gain some rep with this faction? Just started visiting the caverns of time. Now there is a quest for looting a head for BWL and I read about some mobs in silithus who drop some items to turn in for 200 rep. Is the BWL quest needed first?

You can either do scarab lord grind which is solo impossible or you can do AQ40 or if someone is interested and running this: AQ40 respawnable trash farm for rep (where only some bosses are killed).
“Only one may rise” quest were you need Broodlord Lashlayer head from BWL opens the scarab lord quests. If you farm enough rep in AQ40 then you unlock the shards quests and ring from the dragon.
Thanks, so not really possible casually. I thought there are some mobs (elite) to farm. But anyway there you need 200 items/scales for a 200rep gain, so 180 turn ins for 36’000 hated to neutral … But not sure if this is only doable after some pre quests?
That’s the scarab lord grind. Before AQ40 was released people had to farm it:
Get the head → Start farming bugs in silithus → every bugs turn in you get a token that allows one other person to farm bug parts (for you) → you make a spread out group with multiple deputies → you farm silithus elite bugs for parts until enough → neutral → scepter of the shifting sands quest (shards).
With AQ40 open you can do the raid or just rep farm in the raid to skip bug farm out in the open (and it should be way faster). The bug farm required multiple people and few days at minimum and week if people weren’t nolifing it.
Last question, so this is not a thing anymore right since the gates are open? Silithid Carapace Fragments doesn’t drop anymore? Because I can only do some AQ20…
Everything is in the game aside the gong quest that would give the mount and weapon.
the bugs in Silithus drops carapaces, turn in for rep. Still need only one may rise to unlock rep. Before he of the qust not talk to you.
Thanks, I received the hated rep after visiting caverns of time. I’m just not sure if I can just go and farm for those carapaces from mobs, or if I first need to get the head of BWL.
First do two pre quest - What Tomorrow brings - guess the one you did - and visit Abachroinos. Then do Only One may Rise, then farm carapaces whenever you like. Even with Proxy of Nozdormu you can have friend farm for you.
Answer First Head then Farm.
