[BUG] Avoiding being killed

Most of the time Gankers and PVP Players do fight and kill which is good.

But what lot of people are doing is , they abuse bug to avoid getting killed.
They immediately alt f4 or vanish by logging off somehow , this way they prevent getting killed and it is so annoying.

I remember back in the days , there was 10 seconds or more Coldown for anyone to logoff or get disconnected .
Why don’t you fix this and prevent people to abuse this Bug?

Can you be 100% certain they weren’t entering a battleground? Because when they accept the queue they will be teleported straight in no matter what they are doing

They do it everywhere, not only in battlegrounds.

They do even in world pvp like that , abusing instant dc bug.

Blizzard should do same as it was back in the days , having 10-15 seconds coldown before their character disappear, to prevent such bug abuse.

No. In a small server like stonespine we have the same gankers over and over, they always alt f4 when things go wrong for them

I didn’t mean when they are already in a BG. If you are world pvping and a queue pops and they accept, they will leave the world instantly and join the BG

Aww ok I wasn’t aware of that

+1 Killerduki i’ve seen it happen a couple of times.

How do they do that? Doesn’t your character remain in the game for some time after you close the game/lose connection?

I seem to recall disconnecting when fighting mobs, only to log back on to find my character dead.

Yeah, that is how it works. Dunno what this guy is on about, can only think BG queue popped as even a summon cannot be accepted while in combat. Tho in a PvP scenario dropping combat is as easy as not being hit(or hitting) for a small duration so it isn’t unthinkable they got some anti-gank setup of a warlock+party to summon people away from ganks if/when they manage to drop combat for a second to accept it.

Killersucki is an idiot who used to post plain wrong stuff on private server forums and he does exactly the same here.
Just move on, nothingt to see here.

Well , in this case it does not work like that for PVP.

They are instantly Offline instead of remaining the character in game.

How they abuse it , don’t know , but they avoid getting killed completely by vanishing from game (goes offline) before you kill them.

Next time i will create Video with that , as evidence.

Dude, if they’re being summoned away it’ll look to you like they just disappear.
And if you’re checking that they’re actually offline by doing /who on them then surely you’d know that /who only shows you your own faction.
Right?

No , they are not getting Summoned. They come back online after 1 minute or less and continue from where they vanished.

Again go kill them , when they get low again they vanish .

And no i am not talking about /who

I talk about Warrior “Vanish” completely to avoid dying and comes back again after 1 minute at same spot he vanished.

Bro I can explain

They get a summon or queue for say a bg

they go out and gank (2 minute window) and if they get close to dying they just accept queue before death. then they live, get their game / dungeon or whatever and you get no honor because they cheat death.

Pretty scummy but yeah, either accept summon or accept bg queue pop

They don’t even queue , they sit in Blasted Lands and Menethil Harbor (Horde) and Gank/Vanish all the time , they don’t go to Orgrimar to queue , but they continue and doing same thing all the time…

Same thing they do in AV too.

The only way to disappear in combat is :

  • Vanish by a Rogue.
  • Accept a Battleground.
  • Go fast out of combat and logout in inn to get instant DC, or accept a summon.

I doubt there’s some kind of bugs or exploit about that.

I guess your problem is probably #2, since there’s lot of Horde Rogue that camp Menethil Harbor all the day between battlegrounds.
