Hi,
today I discovered items missing from our guild bank. These items disappeared since last week, maybe today. Is this the same issue that we have seen some month ago?

This seems new.
This is what I just found.
That contained all pets recently. I thought guild banks were safe again.
My Ticket:
Description: In the guild bank of my guild, I had Tab 4 of the bank almost filled with caged pets, and some in Tab 5 as well. These are now replaced with unidentified “Pet Cage” items, containg no pet. When I removed one cage from the guild bank, it disappeared and did not get into my bag.
I thought guild banks were safe again.

Can you be more specific about the missing items? Is there anything in the logs? Do you see them in the logs being put in, but not taken out? Could anyone else have taken the items?
I had an experiment with ours, which are showing the same thing … virtually all battle pets are now just showing as pet cages. I tried moving one to different tabs but it was the same thing (same icon/tooltip). I then moved one to my character’s bags, warband bank and character’s bank and it reverted to the icon and tooltip it should have.

Instead of right-clicking the item in the GB, I dragged and dropped it, and I am getting my pets back!

Oh, just checked and mine are too … or what I have left of them. The drag and drop works but I have dozens of them and nowhere near enough room in my bags to keep them safe.
I’ll make a bug report ingame as that’s how it’s done in EU.

Can’t you make new characters to hold them?
One character with 11 32-slot bags can hold the equivalent of 3 tabs/

Yeah I’ve done the same.
We shouldn’t really have to create new characters just so we can try and keep stuff “safe” from Blizzard though … the only real way to keep anything “safe” anymore is to sell it on the auction house, get the gold for it, then use the gold to buy balance - and even that is still digital.

All items disappeared from the first two tabs of the bank, pets and and some random stuff like bags or cosmetic. I can´t tell what specific items have been there at this time, but these tabs are completely empty now. Everything that has been in there disappeared.
I´m not sure if some items disappeared from the other tabs too. These are at least not completely empty.
The logs don´t show anything. Everybody in the guild could have taken the items, but I don´t think so.
Certainly sounds like the bug again, but to be certain, it might be worth raising a ticket - hopefully CS can at the very least check the logs on their end and see if the items have been removed by guild members or not.
The only problem is, because there has been such a major bug fairly recently where guild vaults got emptied, CS have had lots of tickets regarding that and I’m pretty sure by now they don’t actually read tickets relating to the guild vault, but give them the standard “nothing we can do” response. So you might have to persist a little in order to get someone to actually read your ticket in isolation.

We’re not seeing signs of any actual losses since the wider issue addressed here, but pets showing only cages seems to be a new problem and we are taking a look.

I decided to put my entire collection in a cage and put them in the guild bank…about 900 pets turned into cages
I opened a bug report ingame. I had a ticked open when the bug showed up a few month ago but it wasn’t helpful at all, so I put my hope into the forum this time.
I see signs of actual losses.
The guild-bank I’m talking about was affected in september during the first wave of the bug. At this time we lost a lot items out of the first two tabs. The other tabs luckily were all empty at this time.
A few weeks ago we gave permission to the members to use the bank again. So this time there were only few items in the first two tabs but they are gone! According to the logs there should be atleast 6 pets in the 2nd tab, but there is nothing.
Could someone check if the items disappeared or if the logs are wrong?

The problem is, you can’t rely on the logs in-game either – ours have been broken for ages. I can move items from one guild vault tab to another, and the tab I’m moving it out of won’t say a thing in the logs, but the tab that I put the item into will record the move.
So yeah, the only way to be certain is for someone from Blizzard to have a look however, as their own data can’t be trusted, there’s no guarantee they’d be able to tell you either. I’d be tempted to ask your guild members if anyone has removed anything - you might find that they have, but the logs simply haven’t recorded it.
I used to regularly check our guild vault logs to make sure no-one was taking out anything they shouldn’t (for example, large stacks of ore when their professions don’t need it) but there is no point now. Part of the slow and deliberate guild degradation unfortunately

Guild Bank Problems Only:
- Items not recovered
- Logs broken
- Caged pets not working (also broken for me - made a bug report ingame too)
Other Issues:
- Gold disappeared
- Currency missing
- Reputation vanished
- Collected transmog appearances gone
Did I miss anything?
Can anyone confirm if items are still disappearing from the Warbound Bank or Guild Bank?
And has anyone seen any information on the further plans to convert character bag storage (personal bank) into tab-based storage?
