Bug Report: When transfering to PVE from HC after death, all quests are reset and can be completed again

I’ve transferred to PVE after dying on HC anniversary server.

On HC, I completed over 1000 quests as confirmed by Game Master Iashuachy. When logging in with the same character on PVE, all quest progress has been reset. I can pick up every quest again as if I have never completed any.

Unfortunately they could not help me and asked me to report to the developer team as it wasn’t something they could resolve.

My character on HC anniversary was self found called “Celestina”.

I had to change the name when transferring to PVE because it was taken. New name is “Caatalyst”.

This is on EU servers.

This isn’t an isolated issue as I’ve seen at least one other player report it on the US bug report forums and on reddit.

THe only other thing I noticed is my map exploration had also been reset.

Quest in my quest log have been retained.

This is a major issue and I hope it gets resolved. All of my progress since starting this character is basically wiped out and I do not want to do 1000s of quests again.

Below is my last correspondence with a GM regarding the issue:

As mentioned by the previous GM, on our side we can see that the character has around 200+ quests completed which is incorrect since the character you previously had on the HC realm has over 1k quests. We do encourage you to follow the steps here: to report this bug as it will increase visibility for this particular subject and the developers can prioritize this issue.

Keep in mind that when you submit a bug report, it provides diagnostic information based on your account and the unique issue you experienced and it helps collect the correct data for them to verify all the information.

I can confirm with you that definitely something is going on but for the moment I’m unable to offer further assistance or restore the quest progress since this is basically developers territory now, but wish you the best getting a hasty resolution on this matter.

Thanks for taking the time to let us know about this and we have indeed seen similar reports from other transferring players.

Transfers have been disabled for now while we continue to investigate this, and we’ll let you know once we have more info!

Do you think there is a chance my character would be fixed in the update for it?

I’d even take a roll back on quests back to when i first transferred given it’s over 1000 quests, Assuming I don’t lose anything on my character.

I don’t want to make any promises, but that is certainly the plan anyway!

I believe the cause has been identified and we just need to complete testing before looking to re-enable transfers.

I’m sorry to post here again but without the possibility of transfer, I am blocked because I can not migrate my dead character from the Hardcore server. So I pay a subscription that I can not really use. I understood that the problem had been identified and was being resolved. I just wanted to know if you had an idea of ​​the expected deadline for resolving this bug.

Thanks a ton for resolving this so quickly.

I’m a completionist so the thought of having to do them all again was killing me inside.
