My character gets stuck after the cutscene and then returns to Zol’dun. i have browsed the forums and tried every trick in the book from abandoning quest, typing in general chat before cutscene, logging out/alt f4ing when entering. nothing is working and I am very suprised that this still seems to be a common bug from the bfa launch

This is a game breaking 3 year old issue that somehow resurfaced with the latest patch.

When you add new features that don’t work and you also break the baseline then as a developer you prioritize the baseline, therefore this should be a VERY HIGH priority task.
Don’t even bother writing tickets, I waited 1 day for a response and the GM was nice enough to NOT help me (he could easily complete the quest so I can progress further), so I am like you stuck on the quest and can not unlock the allied race.
I am not going to re-sub after this, a very dissapointing experience for a returning player.

thank you for your quick response. yeah very dissapointing as a relatively new player. this is my first horde toon and was really enjoying the bfa campaign. i hope somebody finds a fix soon but until then i cant see myself playing much

Same problem here.
Stuck for more than 24 hours with no reply from Customer Service at all.
I definitely won’t resub after this. It doesn’t make any sense: if I can’t play, I can do that without giving Blizzard my money.

Both my characters are blocked from progressing due to bugged campaign quest lines. Over 24 hours and I can’t progress this quest or the Venthyr covenant quest on my main.
These are game breaking bugs which Blizz support just ignore. Sure it is a 2s fix for someone from the support team to just put people on the correct quest so that they can actually progress?

Same here, tried multiple times to no avail, Fortunately for now I still have the Nazmir story line to complete, will do that and hope there is a fix in the coming days.

Bugs are not handled by Customer Support, or via the forums.
You will need to make your bug reports from in-game, as these get sent directly to the Quality Assurance team in the US, who are best equipped to handle them.

So in regards to your ticket: I understand that you are having some difficulties with “Into the Dunes” quest. I know how important this is so I will provide the necessary information to you in regards to this topic.
After a serious investigation, I can confirm that have received multiple reports of this issue and are currently investigating it.
As much as I would love to help you you, currently, we do not have a workaround or resolution that can be provided by Customer Support.
Since you have tried the Alt-4 method and it still did not work, then I suggest for you to report this as a bug in the in-game menu. That is the best way to get this fixed as this report is sent directly to the Development team. Keep in mind that you will not receive a response from this incident but I can assure you that it is being reviewed.
If you are interested, I suggest for you to report this through our forums in order for this situation to get more visibility. I will provide a link below:

By the way, they know about this bug since June 1st, but it seems that they just don’t care anymore.
In their place I would complete the quest for everyone who wrote a ticket about this issue. Because I believe that 90% of the players that are doing this questline now are returning players, this is really a hit under the belt. So yeah, bye subscription on next month, and Shadowlands purchase.

Was doing an alt and wanted to quest in Voldun and what do you know? i can’t! Tried everything I found online nothing worked (even manually searching for the npc). How is this possible after so many years?
What is people wanna unlock Vulpera or loremaster? And to think we pay a monthly subscription for this!!!

This was updated 21 hrs ago, but the workaround that “has been reported to work” has actually been reported 3 years ago AND it doesn’t work anymore e.g :
the community reports that using Alt-F4 to force quit the WOW client during the cutscene then restarting the game will move your character to the quest turn in so that you can move forward with questing in the zone.
The level of incompetence is simply unbelievable…

if only they read the forums and tickets they would realise that this has not worked for anybody since the bug has reoccurred. its so frustrating and i am amazed that they are not prioritising this, meanwhile all devs probably working on dragonflight because thats what will make them money right
+1 same, not working for me I tried this morning, then this afternoon went and did as much of the war campaign as I could and went back to it… tried alt f4 no joy. Was really enjoying the questline as not done it as horde 
You know what’s really sad, I believe that no one will work on this bug this weekend, they should’ve fixed it on Friday but I guess it was “a task for monday”.
Same thing happens to me for the past two days. Returning player and wanted to check out the new races otherwise i might have just skipped it all for shadowlands.
Was suprised when I checked the forum to see that it was such a big issue and still hasn’t been fixed.
Forced to level an alt or buy shadowlands right now, although i really wanted to play as one of the new races…
A GM finally had mercy and completed the quest for me after about 4 days. So I guess if they did that for me they should do that for everyone so go ahead and write a ticket requesting it.
I’ve had a ticket open for 2 days now, hopefully I’ll get the same resolution as you, sooner rather than later.
Glad to see they’re actually solving the issue now though. Enjoy Voldun!
