Why? ZT whas an RP-PvP Server. Hydraxian Waterlords is as an RP-PvE Server an RP-Server too. The Population whas not really that different between those two realms and you have at least still an RP-Server of your language too.
It is. Playing on such a full realm feels really lonely. People used to Megarealms won’t get it, but it is true. Yes, there are people, but you never meet twice. Lakeshire has reached the size of an actual real life town. Most guilds you have never heard of. There is no real community.
I like Wrath as a game more than I thought I would (I still prefer Classic, but still…) and I am sure I would enjoy playing it on Celebras or even Lakeshire before it got so full due to free transfers. But as it is, I am very close to just quitting.
They don´t know how lucky they are that they still have a RP realm they can roleplay on…
But Zandalar Tribe was smaller in the end as Hydraxian Waterlords now is. He would have asked for FCT from Zandalar Tribe, too.
And suddenly english guilds on a german realm…
Thank you!
I was always wondering, why i don´t feel good on realms beside Cele.
No i know it - i feel lonely…
Because i feel like it… and it feels fitting for our murdered rp realm. missing Celebras…
When you closed Celebras, you thought, we might be happier elsewhere. And I did try. But guess what? I am not. I quit.
I do understand Mexi…
I am having fun on our little, tiny era Celebras.
It´s great what´s going on there at the moment!
But without our era realm, i would probably give up, too. I try to have fun in Wrath but it´s difficult…
I‘ve decided to send the gms on their search for my lost characters
I don’t expect that they will find them, but before i create new ones… they were Cele residents
I can tell you where they are, Wrath mograine.
I lost a few characters permanently to the server merge, all of them below level 15. They just vanished out of nowhere, only about 3-4 chars showed up on Mograine and I had chars on most servers. My lvl15 Warrior on Ten Storms is gone, I had played on there briefly when it was first opened up in Classic, while Firemaw had an 18 hour queue.
My characters were all also a lower level.
But one of the former Celebrasians actually lost ALL of this (several) level 60-70 charakters.
i do not really expect that they will find them, but one can try…
Checked all realms, except the russians, back then.
They should have been send to Hydraxian, some arrived, some not.
It seems, that due to the technical difficulty they encountered during the merge, some characters were actually lost (deleted).
I read that some transfers were delayed, have you looked recently?
Also, did you open a ticket about it?
Oh bye Mexi. Will miss you. Sorry have not been here for too long.
Sorry, was a busy week.
Yes, i checked all realms, but there are no new arrivals
I did not yet open a ticket, but intent to do so today/tomorrow, depending on my time
Oh… and of course, the GM can´t restore the characters.
Were only two rounds, the first one a “common” game master, the second one a “specialist” (who claimed he can only restore the same character we can within the UI. )
One year since the original announcement, and still a crap idea.
And as Nerila said:
We will need further realm consolidation down the road. Populations on servers are collapsing.
We can make do with clustering if really necessary. The “consolidation” was big mess hopefully never to be repeat. Some - me too - have still characters gone missing.
Further: If you look to Ironforge.pro you see the population not collapsing. It not even down to level it was at before.
You please stop fearmongering.
The population peaked at 626.000 in the week of 9-15/11/2022.
In the latest week of 24-30/5/2023, the population is 315.000. That’s a decline of 50%.
This is before the summer, Diablo 4 releasing, and the onset of phase 3 which is seen as a filler phase before ICC.
Still more playing now than before the climbing and peaking.
315.000 is around the average of TBC, but below the average of WoW Vanilla.
Regardless, the population declined by 50%. You can make of that decline what you want.
I call it a collapse. You can call it whatever you want.
