You do the same mistake as the majority of wow players. RP doesn’t mean “quite”. The RP-PVP server had a very much alive wpvp, even better than most pvp servers. Just google for it. So rp-pvp and rp-pve servers are not the same at all.

Are we given more character slots? I do not have room for my pack of HW characters on any but Pyrewood - the Full PvE server or PvP realms … and obviously I won’t go there … Now what?

Styga is 100% right on this one. RP-PVE and RP-PVP are completely different.

Unbelievable WPVP events. They would go out of their way to find and destroy the alliance at every occasion. I have never seen that level of WPVP on any PVP server, ever. They would do this everyday… For years. They even got so good they were able to hold Tol Barad (during Cata) for weeks (the server was roughly 50/50).
They would even host events to kill specific players on the alliance in creative ways. For example, one of the goals was to kill a player by drowning. So two 40 man raids would go to Stormwind, clear the city up and then use many Death Knight’s death grip and Priest’s Mind Control to constantly move said player to the Stormwind Lake and have him drown.
Wanted posters were created by the Alliance for the head of that guild leader. Glorious days.

And getting rid of RPPVP servers completely, we’ll never have the opportunity for such events again.

There’s no reason to close them. HW is RP-PvE English. ZT is RP-PvP English. And Celebras is German RP-PvE realm.
I think I speak for all of us when I say:
My German is not good enough to play with people from Celebras.
I do not want to be forced to do PvP to roleplay.
(You can exchange the relevant languages / modes of play as needed)

Roleplaying a ganker psychopath that drowns their victims by sending them into the deeps with mind control? If a community really wants an event they can gather at specific location and turn PvP on on Normal-RP realm.
There’ll be no Normal RP realms either.

I also want the RP servers (Celebras in my case) too stay. They have left all the realms up for three years, I doubt this is a money or computing capacity issue. The goal seems to be to consolidate realms, as they said, and get rid of the dead and empty ones in the list. However, albeit being small, the RP servers are not dead, nor are they empty. They have purpose, and they should stay.

That’s a quite difference experience and that’s why RPPVP exists and Normal RP realms exist.
Some of us enjoy the excitement of PVP happening at any moment.
Also, keep in mind the alliance decided to fight back. They could have just not participated when PvP happened in SW.

If you look at the list, theres no RP server on it. No rp-pve and no rp-pvp. All transfers are to normal pve and pvp servers only. Thats a problem for the RP-community, since theres a reason we play on an rp-server in the first place? We usually dont mind small and/or close nit communities. A normal server will never be an alternative.

Currently people think that the servers are dead because everyone has transfered away from them and they dont know about the free transfer options.
Also, what will happen if you allready have 10 chars on the destination server?

If you intent it to be one of the destination realms then at least mention something along the lines of “We will be looking into dealing with population of Razorgore and a few other realms not mentioned in the list”, just so that the players know that not all is lost.
I had to pay for the realm transfer and f-ing hate you for it. Not getting any of the deluxe packages for WOTLK and certainly not spending anything on pets or mounts because you guys do NOT deserve it!
That’s what I say. All 3 RP servers are to close. Sad, sad story!
Where do you find the list of servers to go to?
And furthermore the only low pop PvE server is Chromie - the Russian one. I can’t speak Russian

Dear Kaivax. I think you made an honest mistake. Almost all the above mentioned realms are PvP realms with small to non existing population. But 3 of them are the RP realms. Their populations might be small, but they are not dead or even dying. The people playing there have chosen those realms with open eyes and stayed on them deliberately, willing to stay and play on a RP server. Please think it over once again and take Celebras, Hydraxian Waterlords and Zandalar Tribe off this list again. We RPers have nowhere to go if these three are closed down, as these are ALL the existing RP realms.

like mentioned above, blizzard would kill a whole community with turning off all the rp servers. it’s not the same when ‘you do an rp event’ on a normal server. like also mentioned earlier, the whole server is the rp event. and the players who don’t actively participate in specific rp events still enjoy the friendly and relaxed atmosphere and not being around players with childish and stupid names like “Cownuke”, “Boomkinboii”, “Axelord” or “SharpshooterXX”. players consciously decided to stay on the small populated rp servers for reasons. burning down their homes would be a big mistake.
another thing is that some will be forced to change their names because they’re not available on the other realm anymore. you don’t just change the name of your character you put so much love and time in. it’s heartbreaking.
please keep the rp servers alive!

How do you see that they are bots? I asked a couple of the guildless 70ies a question yesterday, and I had real, human answers from most of them.
i wouldn’t say they’re bots. usually you can see how they move if they’re bots or not. on celebras they appear to be human (imagine just camping spots and do nothing else than farming the whole day lol). but yes, it’s a problem that occurred with the free transfers. even reporting them isn’t helping -.-
I’m not watching them (not high enough level yet to run around in Terokkar 
), only did a /who, as I was looking for soemone . And as I said, most of the level 70 I whispered actually answred in a friendly way, I don’t think they were bots - this was on HW
This is why I ask how to tell bots from real players.
But let’s not derail the conversation here

Ashbringer (A) is not playable whatsoever either, I got a lvl 70 stuck there because guilds mass transfered, don’t just mention the Horde side of the realm pls.
Yeah, instead of killing off the RP servers they should merge some of the lesser populated PvP servers to bring them over critical massthat way!

No, they should delete all the lesser populated pvp servers as they did. I legit don’t care that RP realms get deleted, because there are like 50 people actively playing on them. If you want a server for 50 people, then you and those other 49 people are alone, because those realms died due to the majority of players not wanting to play on a dead server. The player behaviour obviousely shows that the majority of players care so much about the number of players in their servers, that they paid an insane amount of money to transfer all their characters in a soon 20 years old version of a video game, have quit altogether, or even rerolled from zero due to reasons that they had no control over and were caused by blizzard’s lack of attention on the issue.
