BWL ID Reset Failure

Anyone else not having their BWL ID reset as it should have?
Yesterday evening one logs out having done BWL and it says it will reset in 9 hours.
Logging in this morning it will now reset in 2 days and 21h.
What’s going on?

Yup raided Friday now locked for tonight WTF

Half my guild are also saved…

It is incredible how we can’t even trust the information given ingame anymore, massive mistake by blizzard counting on everyone to read AND understand their blueposts.

I raided believing there was only 6 hours until reset, and now it’s extended to 2 days and can no longer attend my guildrun.

How hard could it have been for blizzard to show the real reset time after the final “daily reset”?

Well I do tend to trust the ingame “Raid Info” and yesterday it clearly said 9 hours til reset before I went to bed. Now it says 2 days and 21h so something clearly went wrong.

What are the changes of this getting fixed on a sunday

Effectively, Blizzard lied to us and probably screwed just about every guild that has scheduled their standard raid day Sunday onwards.

I was surprised that they were so generous with the IDs, but then it should have been communicated properly like “you can only go until Friday”, but the date is clearly written as the reset this morning to be the last daily reset.

This really needs to be reset as it would punish all those that didn’t use their daily IDs, hoped for their standard raid today (e.g. today, Monday or Tuesday) and won’t be able to see their raid as half or more of their guild / raid mates are locked on an ID and won’t be able to go.

This “solution” made things much worse for the average mom and pop raider (essentially making them unable to raid or making them having to look for a pug) and just rewarded the sweats among us.

Same happened to me & my guildies we joined a pug on Friday thinking we should just not risk the raid reset because it might backfire… We were reset yesterday, didn’t raid just chilled & now today out of nowhere are locked out again… Pure comedy

Would love if blizzard could throw us some explanation as the last blue post was just cryptic…

Blackwing Lair will revert to having its standard 7 day reset period at 23:00 UTC on 7/12/2025 for all regions. That will be 4:00 p.m. PDT / 7:00 p.m. EDT in this region.
It was reset on saturday. So if you did it on friday you reset should be fine. If you did raid on saturday you should be locked on wed.

We had people in our guild who only did it on Wednesday and they are not fine. This is just another mess as everyone expected to have the IDs reset by today (which even the in game Raid Info said).

You conveniently forgot to mention the time. People raided before " 23:00 UTC on 7/12/2025" - so they should NOT have an ID.

I’ve got no clue what to tell you  We’ve entered it on Friday, didn’t touch it since… now we are stuck with a ID which shouldnt even be there in the first place

If you were there friday you should have an ID - just as usual.

I also did BWL friday, with the reset in mind. But when it changed the reset from saturday morning to wednesday morning I had to read the statement from Blizzard again.

What Blizzard did (but did not spell out clearly) was they temporarely configured BWL to reset after 24 hours - and then 04:00 AM sunday morning they re-introduced the normal ID behaviour, meaning if you were locked friday - or any day in the current lockout - you would be locked until next wednesday.

No, I am not defending Blizzard. Their (lack of ) communication still amaze me :frowning: and the solution to a bug which weren’t there in the first place just caused even more confusion.

Their wording is absolutely vague and terrible. It can be interpreted both ways. They really need to convey these messages clearer

I’m pretty sure people managed to get runs in Saturday as-well (at the very least I know my brother managed to do that with his guild on both Friday & Saturday + some of the members who raided for some reason still have clean ID even now on Monday). That’s why (I am, at-least, confused about the whole reset situation). Even heard some people who never entered it have an ID (who knows if that’s true or they are just blowing it out of proportion).

I can understand now, that we’ve passed the mark of “lets find out” we all realize we should’ve interpreted it probably more deeply… But you couldn’t interpret it this way on the day like Friday, when the message popped out…

We were given vague information and were mislead by blizzard. I for one would never have raided during those days IF I knew I wouldn’t be able to attend my normal Raid with guild, which is more important to me & my guildies than just pugs & loot.

If that is the case (your normal guild raid being a priority) all one had to do is look at the track record of Blizzard in handling things in recent years.

It’s not rocket science. Just plain common sense.

To be frank, I actually expected them to keep the daily resets on for like 2 weeks via negligence and then people being all indignant when they finally do turn it off because they STILL didn’t get their bis

I expected the same, or that they would say that they made it a daily lockout and have somehow made it a monthly lockout instead
