Now BWL / Phase 3 has been officially announced with a release date, how prepared / underprepared do you feel? I’m about 50/50, gear is getting there and I’ve read / watched tactics and boss fights but never actually done BWL so it’s exciting for me. I did play Vanilla but I was a dumb kid hunter.

I haven’t done any lvl 60 dungeon or raid, so not prepared at all.
But that’s ok, because I’m not gonna do BWL either.

I’ve done BWL so I am good on tactics. Gear is good missing one or two items I’d like to have but considering most of it is t1/t2 it’s ok. Consumables no problem and I know where to FD when someone inevitably messes up something in the first runs.
I thought it was only the attunement quests that where announced can you link the source for the official announcement of BWL the raid?

Gear-wise i’ve been ready for many weeks, but I have been slacking quite a bit with consumables, although I have lvled alts with profs to make my own whenever I get around to it so it is not all bad.
BWL was where my raiding exp in vanilla kinda stopped (guild broke apart at the guild-breaker with the MT leaving because he wanted faster progress, still remember his name haha), being quite young at the time I had no idea what I was doing, just a clueless healadin spamming flash of light

Releasing the same week I’ll be making the final push to rank 13, which is a bit unfortunate, but eh, I’d say I’m prepared otherwise.
Oof that’s gonna be a painful week but GL!
I got full T1 just need axe off onyxia second in line for one. Tactics whatever we figure it out as we do.

I’m about 52/60, then at 60 i will do Dire Maul and UBRS and Strath. After doing those for a few weeks I’ll try to get into some Molten Core pugs or runs from my guild, then a few months later I’ll be ready to to Blackwing Lair

BWL will be a blast compared to mc, especially if you never done it, you gonna love the goblin packs
Working out loot council stuff before it drops, gonna be farming some gold ready to make elemental sharpening stones for the guild as well as preparing stuff for the p3 recipes that will drop.
As for me, I have to motivate myself to grind the rest of my AV rep for my offhand, but I would rather stick my hand in a toaster and turn it on than play AV rn.
I’m excited for BWL though, can’t wait

Don’t wait for pre bis to do MC if your guild has it on farm then just get them to carry you through it and gear up. No point in missing out on loot that may not drop later down the line. I see pugs taking in level 59s for MC and Ony (usually healers though)
As for BWL I’m not really prepared but the raid is a cake walk anyway so I’m not too concerned.
Done it plenty on private servers, can’t be harder than there.
Gear-wise I’m so so, as a healer I can probably go in with current equipment but would be nice to get shoulders/ring from MC before that.
I’m more worried how pugs and guilds will face it coordination wise. I’ve seen plenty of lazy people in MC relying on few others to carry the raid. BWL bosses ain’t exactly tank and spank so it’s gonna be a slap of reality for some.
I’m fairly poor but that’s my only thing I need to work on. I’m very looking forward to it, so much so that when I heard the news my brain made me think it was releasing this month.
Some seem anxious for one reason or another. I think despite MC and Ony being fun, complacency is an issue that could be real. I imagine BWL will invigorate players who seem lazy and expose those who struggle in raids.

good point! And no not doing the whole “Pre-BIS” stuff since the raids are easy and my guild does it 20 man every week. Just looking forward to starting gearing my character!

Really tho you’re kind of right in that you wont need to but you will 100% want some of those prebis items while you’re waiting for drops:p
main concern is finding enough groups to do repeat dungeons… I’m such a slow leveller that I’m totally behind the curve lol. seems like literally everyone is already 60 and it’s taken me 5 months to get to level 52
